“Brunching” is a favorite weekend pastime for Atlanta Diners and this week we were treated to one of the best in town. Time Restaurant & Lounge hosted a Birthday Brunch for two amazing chefs: Chef Mike Valli and Pastry Chef Bree Miller. Time’s Executive Chef Virgil Harper pulled out all the stops on this amazing Brunch Menu with the collaboration of Chef J.R. Robinson, A Hell’s Kitchen Alum, and the birthday honorees. These four Chefs packed a punch of flavor into every dish and our palettes were definitely pleased!
The began with a refreshing House Salad tossed in a tasty balsamic vinaigrette followed by the show-stopping Chipotle Deviled Eggs. Perfectly creamy deviled eggs were kicked up a notch with the addition of a Cajun Fried Oyster and rich Hollandaise Sauce.
Chef Harper presented his special take on the Southern classic Chicken and Waffles. Served atop mini Belgian waffles, crisp chicken breast fillets were topped with Pure Maple Syrup, Vanilla Cream and a Peach Compote. This sweet and savory combination left us wanting more.
The second entree we sampled was another Southern classic, Shrimp & Grits. Perfectly cooked shrimp were served atop rich atop creamy Gouda Grits and smothered in a Creole Sauce.
Dessert definitely sealed the deal with both Heavenly and Sinful presentations. Lightly sweet and fluffy Ricotta Donuts with a Raspberry Coulis cleansed the palette as a refreshing end to the meal. However Chef Bree’s Red Velvet Oreo Brownie topped with Vanilla Ice Cream, Salted Caramel and a chocolate drizzle was absolutely indulgent.
Our compliments to the chefs for this delicious presentation. We’ll be back at Time Restaurant & Lounge next week as they begin a new Brunch series benefiting the Ryan Cameron Foundation. We can’t wait to see the menu Chef Harper rolls out!
