Those who love their pets consider them family, and so a “family meal” should include your furry friend! Luckily, we have tons of pet-friendly patios in Chicago to celebrate the entire family. Here are the best spots to take your four-legged friends for a great meal this summer.

312 Chicago {136 North LaSalle Drive, Chicago; 312.696.2420}

312 Chicago is located in the heart of the Loop, making it the perfect spot to take your pooch for a meal during the work week. Spoil your pup during the weekend with #wagginweekends, where dogs have their own menu choices including peanut butter biscuits or a tasty “beefsicle” for dessert. Also, every Saturday and Sunday, from 11 am – 2 pm, the restaurant offers complimentary chef-made treats for your furry friend with any purchase.

Bistronomic {840 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago; 312.944.8400}

Take your pet out for a fancy evening that would make the French Riviera jealous! The Bistronomic patio is perfect for an evening meal with your pooch, offering favorites like their Housemade Country Pâté or Chicken Liver Mousse. If you want something bigger to dig into, we recommend the Maple Leaf Duck Breast a L’Orange or Roasted Rack of Lamb. Take the lamb bones home for fido’s dessert!

Smoke Daddy BBQ {1804 West Division Street, Chicago; 773.772.6656}

This is the perfect spot for a pet with attitude! There is live music all summer long, plus any dog will be begging for a bite of some of their classic barbecue dishes. Don’t worry though, because pig ears, as well as water bowls and other treats, will be available for your dog!

Mama’s Boy Peasant Italian {445 North Dearborn Street, Chicago; 312.832.7700}

River North is the perfect place to walk your pup along the riverside before dinner at Mama’s Boy Peasant Italian. Dive into Grigliato Misto “Grilled Seafood” as an appetizer before indulging in house-made pastas like Orecchiette with sausage and broccolini.

Formento’s {925 West Randolph Street, Chicago; 312.690.7295}

For fine dining with your pooch in tow, go to Formento’s. Their West Loop patio is a great spot for your pet to be on parade, as Randolph Street is always bustling! While your pooch relaxes in the sun, we recommend the Paccheri (squid ink pasta, lump crab, red chiles, mint, and garlic bread crumbs) or the Whole Grilled Branzino for dinner.

Rockit Burger Bar {3700 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.645.4400}

Who doesn’t love free bacon? Bring your four-legged dining companion to the Rockit Burger Bar and receive some bacon slices for your bud. You can get your own bacon fix with their 4X4 Burger, made with a four-ounce burger patty, four ounces of pulled pork, four slices of brisket and four slices of bacon, along with cheese spread, pickles, vinegar slaw, and a pretzel bun.

Filini {221 North Columbus Drive, Chicago; 312.477.0234}

The Radisson Blu restaurant is launching a BYOD(og) program on Wednesdays so that all guests, four legged or two, can enjoy Filini. Bring your pup to enjoy a “Bad to the Bone” burger or “Frosty Paws” ice cream treat. While they enjoy their special treat, you should try the four-course Chef’s Tasting Menu, which will give you the best of the best from Filini, and give your pet more time to enjoy the patio.

Nico Osteria {1015 North Rush Street, Chicago; 312.994.7100}

Spend your weekend admiring the beautifully iconic Rush Street neighborhood at Nico Osteria. Dine patio side with your pooch and enjoy brunch menu selections such as Chocolate Cornetti French Toast, Brussels Sprout Bruschetta, and Smoked Salmon Caesar.

The Fifty/50 {2047 West Division Street, Chicago; 773.489.5050}

Voted the best wings in Chicago, The Fifty/50 is the perfect place to watch a game this summer. In addition to wings, try their Thick Housemade Bacon Bites for dinner. For the pups, you can purchase a $3 pig ear or an all-natural $3.50 rawhide bone. Everyone wins!
