Fall in love all over again at these intimate autumn favorites

If the chilly season makes you want to cozy up inside, these restaurants will inspire your senses and give you and your date reason to snuggle up in a booth and enjoy a delicious, soul-warming meal. Whether you and your significant other are looking for somewhere quiet and romantic or lively and fun, with stellar views or epic karaoke, Chicago has it all. Check out our favorite spots for a fall date night, any day of the week.

Fulton Galley {1115 West Fulton Market; 312.210.0920}

You and your date are bound to find something you both love at this new spot in the West Loop. Being a food hall with five restaurants, Fulton Galley’s choices range from Thai food (Pink Salt) and Mexican-American (Taco Mucho), to rotisserie foods (Fairview) and a Jewish deli (Steingold’s), plus classic Italian favorites (Italianette). Stop by for dinner and chill in the beer garden before or after with 20 local taps for a fun and relaxed date night.

Francois Frankie {222 West Randolph Street; 312.600.9659}

The atmosphere of a restaurant can make or break a good date, and Francois Frankie will definitely make it a date to remember. As if the romantic charm and elegant finesse of a Parisian courtyard isn’t enough, the revolving bar is an experience to watch and be a part of. Sit, spin (slowly), and sip on a prohibition-style cocktail like the Last Word (Junipero gin, Luxardo maraschino, lime, and green Chartreuse), and impress your date with sophisticated bites like Triple Crème Camembert or Black Truffle Macaroni.

VU Rooftop Bar {133 East Cermak Road; 312.528.0191}

This rooftop bar is the ultimate new spot, and with its digital fireplace and floor-to-ceiling light fixtures, VU knows it’s hot. On the 22nd floor of McCormick Place in the South Loop, you and your date will be seeing the city from a breathtaking new angle, even in the chillier months. The Crispy Spanish Octopus, Salmon Tartare, and Korean Shortribs are just a few of the plates that VU offers, all made for sharing. Plus, they have a private karaoke room.

The Signature Room at the 95th {875 North Michigan Avenue; 312.787.9596}

The Signature Room is an oldie-but-goodie, and there’s a clear reason why it has been one of the most popular date night spots in Chicago for years. With its sumptuous décor and steak and fish favorites, it’s remains a city classic, boasting a view that’s hard to top (literally) from the 95th floor of the John Hancock. A lavish and intimate date night pick, menu items like Raw Bar for Two with lobster, crab, shrimp, and oysters are perfect for sharing with your sweetheart.

The Chicago Firehouse {1401 South Michigan Avenue; 312.786.1401}

The Chicago Firehouse is back up and running in the South Loop, a little more than two years after its disastrous fire. A variety of different dining options in select rooms, including a new solarium, a second-floor veranda with an outdoor fireplace, and plenty of event spaces, make this a must-see destination for you and your better half. While still offering the old restaurant’s classics like Seafood Towers and Dover Sole, there are also new additions such as the Tomahawk for Two and a new Key Lime Pie recipe.
