Game Day Food Worth Cheering for in Chicago

The Fifty/50

Chicago sports are an integral part of our city and our people. No matter who you cheer for, sports bring the city together, and that’s even more true at gameday spots across town. Restaurants and bars throughout the city are always gearing up with game-time specials, extensive beer lists, and lots of meals to cheer for. No matter who you have in the championship game, these meals are certainly no. 1. Let’s go, Chicago food!

The Fifty/50 {2047 West Division Street, Chicago; 773.489.5050}

A long-time staple in West Town, and a tri-level haven to the world of sports, The Fifty/50 has long been serving up it’s famed wings and things to game day patrons. This is the perfect spot to watch with a group because they take their sports seriously here. Grab a brew -or two- and hunker down for the day!

Public House {400 North State Street, Chicago; 312.265.1240}

There’s a reason that Public House received the accolade of ‘unequaled viewing capabilities’ by USA Today. There isn’t a bad seat in the house! With a 30-foot HD screen hoisted above one of the bars, you can watch one, two, three, or four games all at once, all on the same screen! There are also an additional 27 flat-screen TVs strategically placed throughout the whole gastropub, so no steal, foul, or game-winning shot will ever be missed. It’s a sports-lover’s dream!

Hubbard Inn {110 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.222.1331}

Whole new look, same great gameday spot! Hubbard Inn completely revamped their interior and menu at the end of 2019, but that doesn’t change their appeal as a viewing destination. Cozy up to the bar for their amazing happy hour deals like $1 oysters, $6 Old Fashioned’s and $10 Octopus Tostada from Tuesday-Friday, 4-6PM. You’ll get a great spot to watch the evening games, and enjoy a great meal on a budget to boot!

The Smoke Daddy

Smoke Daddy {multiple locations}

There’s nothing like a little BBQ to fuel an all-day watch party! With locations in Wicker Park as well as Wigleyville, it’s easy for most Chicagoans to make their way to Smoke Daddy for chicken wings, BBQ ribs, and all kinds of delicious beer options. Bring your bracket competitors to watch and cheer on your picks over a Chicken + Ribs Platter!

Lucky Klucker {order online}

Don’t want to miss a minute of the action? Stay home and order the best in bar food right to your front door! Lucky Klucker partners with all the main delivery apps, so you can order your favorite sauces, chicken wings & things without even leaving your couch. If you’re hosting a gameday party, order a larger catering order to please every fan in town!

Jake Melnick’s

Jake Melnick’s {41 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.266.0400}

Bring on the wings! If you haven’t tried Jake’s wings yet, let this be the time! Their Nashville Hot and Firecracker wings are our favorites, but daring diners can also give the super duper hot XXX Wings a try. If you have a group though, the Tailgate Tower is the way to go! It comes with 18 boneless Buffalo Wings plus piled high Stadium Nachos with all the fixings. Everyone will leave full and happy, regardless of the games’ outcomes.

Joy District {112 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.955.0339}

Sports fans can get their party on at this River North hot spot! An expansive bar area gives you plenty of room to sip on large format cocktails like the Mega Spritz (Absolute juice spritz or Absolute strawberry spritz) or happy hour deals like $7 pizzas and appetizers. Cheer on your favorite team, then stay to party afterwards and celebrate a win!

As one of the city’s longest-standing bars, Lottie’s is perfect for chill gamedays and fun post-tournament celebrations! Bring a crowd, and get ready to kick back and relax while you cheer on your team.
