Last week, we brought you a comprehensive list of Denver restaurants cooking Thanksgiving feasts, pies, and sides. But if you’ve got more family in town than you have space at your home dining table—or if you just have no desire to do the dishes even for a heat-and-serve spread (I feel you there)—Denver’s thriving dining scene has you covered. Not every restaurant in town will be open on Turkey Day, but you still have plenty of options. These are the standouts.
Oliver’s Italian

At what just might be my favorite new restaurant in all the land, a special Italian Thanksgiving menu is yours for the tasting—either at the restaurant in Greenwood Village or to go. Either way, you’ll need to try the Negronis while you’re there. The Bianco just might be the best cocktail you’ll ever taste. Also noteworthy: everything on the menu, which on Thanksgiving will include dishes like a seafood Italian stew; roasted butternut squash pinsa (kinda like a pizza but better) with sage, guanciale, whipped ricotta, and fig; and a pumpkin cake with fresh cream. Not to mention all the regular menu items, which—it’s worth saying again—are omg. Don’t just trust us. You need to try this new spot from Chef Sean Huggard (of Blue Island Oyster Bar fame) out for yourself. You’ll love it.

A fine three-course Thanksgiving Feast by Chef Ludo awaits at the Thompson Hotel, should you choose it. And it comes with a bunch of choices: kale salad or butternut squash soup to start; honey & thyme roasted turkey, roasted branzino, Parisian gnocchi, or marinated grilled lamb chops as the main; pecan or pumpkin pie for dessert; and a whole host of family-style sides. And to get in the spirit of the season. wine & champagne specials by Moët Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Dom Perignon are on offer to get your holidays off to a sparkling start. From noon to 7 p.m. on the day after Thanksgiving—Friday, Nov. 24—dig into an ambrosial three-course prix fixe dinner featuring smoked meats and locally sourced vegetables curated by Chef Christian and his team. Worth noting: the restaurant also has a take-home full Thanksgiving dinner for four on offer for $200, but you gotta order by this Sunday. EDGE Restaurant & Bar

First, the bad news: The Four Seasons restaurant and bar is all booked up for the day. The good news: you can get on a wait list, should decadent stationed buffet spreads at the finest restaurant in town be on your holiday wish list. Otherwise, EDGE is serving festival cocktails all week, and they’re hosting a little soirée on Wednesday evening featuring live music and drinks to kickstart your holiday celebration.
Elway’s Downtown

Whether you wake up starving or can’t work up an appetite until the sun goes down, The Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Denver has you covered. Starting right before dawn (which happens to be at 6:53 a.m. on Thanksgiving day, in case you were wondering), Elway’s Downtown opens for a la carte brunch, and from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., they bring out a full-on Thanksgiving brunch buffet, including breakfast dishes. The feast returns at 4:30 p.m. with fewer eggs and more stuffing. Not to mention, ELWAY’S Downtown favorites are filet mignons, porterhouse, salmon, and Chilean seabass.
FIRE Restaurant and Lounge

From 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., exec chef Ashley Robertson is putting out a spread that includes seasonal fall starters, classic slides, a carving station, and dessert—and there’s a mac and cheese bar. Live music by Andy Sydow sets the mood from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and valet is free for diners that day.
The Fort

For the best vegetarian feast in town, Somebody People’s where you want to be. They’ll be serving a set menu with limited seating available, and you can add a hearty wine pairing for $40 more.
