What: Head to LoDo for the grand opening of Oskar Blues Grill & Brew as well as the opening of the adjacent music venue, Oskar Blues Black Buzzard. This two-day celebration will have live music from A Shadow of  Jaguar and People’s Blues of Richmond with special guests, Interstate Stash Express. Nosh on elevated bar bites including Wood-Grilled Oysters and fried pork chops in the Chef’s Swine and Dine. With 48 rotating brews on tap, there will be plenty to cheers with. What: The season of gift giving is over, now let’s get back to treating ourselves. This upcoming weekend,  a number of Stanley retailers will be offering steals on winter merchandise. To sip while you shop, boozy businesses are offering drink specials including $2 off your first pint at Cheluna Brewing Co. and $5 tap wines at Infinite Monkey Theorem with the show of a receipt. Making Noise Beer Project 1 Year Anniversary Party at Ratio Beerworks

What: The Making Noise Beer Project was a collaborative brew series among a number of rotating local breweries with the mission to stamp out intolerance and hate. These specialty brews helped raised funds for a number of non-profits all across Denver. For the one year anniversary, Ratio Beerworks will be releasing an Oatmeal Stout, with proceeds benefitting Youth on Record. Guest breweries will also be on tap including beers from Goldspot Brewing, Our Mutual Friend, and The Post Brewing.

What: Keeping up with “Top Chef” this season? True fans can get even closer to the action with a five-course dinner from the one and only, Gail Simmons. Simmons has been a fan favorite on “Top Chef” for 15 seasons and recently published her first cookbook, “Bringing It Home: Favorite Recipes from a Life of Adventurous Eating.” The guest chef dinner is $160 per person which includes wine pairings and a signed copy of her cookbook. 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off

What: Think you make the best chili in town? Sign up for the 3rd Annual Chili Cookoff at Little Machine Beer. Chili categories include red, green, and “I’m Special” category. Not much of a cook? Winners will be determined by a People’s Choice vote so eat and vote for your favorite. The winner will receive a free growler fill every month for a year, so bring your “a game”!
