Health-Forward Dining in Denver and Boulder

Staying healthy sounds hard, until you see the great local offerings we’ve got for you. Keep your summer energy at peak levels with these ‘Healthy Things We Love.’

Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant
{1710 Pearl Street, Boulder; 303.442.1485}

Leaf owner, Lenny Martinelli, highlights just how creative, expansive, and flavorful meatless cuisine can be. Using the highest quality ingredients (many coming from Leaf’s farm in Lafayette) and simply allowing their flavors shine through, he’s designed a menu to impress sophisticated vegetarians and hardened carnivores, alike. Try the delicious Thai Crunch Salad, with shredded cabbage, bell pepper, carrot, snap peas, tofu, pineapple, and peanut sauce, topped with cilantro.

{5370 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard, Greenwood Village; 720.708.6309}

Among the preponderance of larger chain restaurants in the area, Zeal is a horse of a different color. Independently owned and operated by two foodies who are passionate about healthy eating, Zeal makes all of its sauces, cold-pressed juices, and salsas from scratch and sources its ingredients as locally as possible. With a seasonal menu that reflects what’s growing around Colorado, Zeal offers lunch and dinner seven days a week, plus weekend brunch.

Healthy meets delicious like never before in signature treats like the Golden Turmeric Latte or this season’s Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie Bowl that’s topped with kiwi, strawberries, granola, and vanilla spice seed butter.
