Cheers to more whiskey! Hearth & Dram {1801 Wewatta Street, Denver; 303.623.0979} is set to open this January right across the way from Union Station. Featuring a menu of rustic American fare and wood-fired offerings, the saloon will also offer over 350 whiskey varieties and a lineup of cocktails, sure to whet any whistle.

American Grind

With a heavy heart, we said our final farewells to Mijo in Avanti {3200 North Pecos Street, Denver; 720.269.4778} this past weekend. But, around here, as one restaurant closes another opens its doors. With that in mind, we now welcome Avanti’s newest concept, American Grind. The once popular food truck—spearheaded by Jared Scwartz and Kade Gianinetti of The Way Back—has parked itself inside the popular food hall, set to open mid-January. The 1950’s styled burger joint will serve up responsibly sourced burgers, utilizing made from scratch ingredients including buns and homemade ice cream.
Opening Date: January 16

Since 2007, Andrea Frizzi has delighted our taste buds with Northern Italian cuisine at Il Posto. Just in time for the new year, Frizzi plans to reopen his popular restaurant in the RiNo district January 10. The newest spot, located at 26th and Larimer, will feature a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine, a patio, and an open kitchen, so hopefully we can watch the master at work.

Olive & Finch

Breakfast in Cherry Creek just got a whole lot better. The second location of Olive & Finch {3390 East 1st Avenue, Denver} is no “little sister” to the original restaurant, made clear by it’s larger size and option of catering. Expect a fuller menu of breakfast skillets, sandwiches, and salads courtesy of Chef Nguyen.
