Today, we celebrate the beauty of the margarita with National Margarita Day. Whether you prefer them frozen or on the rocks, salt or sugar, there are plenty of margs to go around. Here are nine spots to find the best margarita deals in Denver and Boulder, plus a recipe to make at home.

T/ACO {1175 Walnut Street, Boulder; 303.443.9468} Pop into the taqueria for all day happy hour including $4 house margaritas, $ 6 flavored margaritas (including strawberry, pomegranate, and grapefruit) and $7 pineapple habañero margaritas.

La Sandia Northfield {8340 Northfield Boulevard #1690, Denver; 303.373.9100} Margarita flights anyone? Head to Stapleton and order their margarita flight which comes with three specialty margs—including the Watermelon Cucumber and Guava—for only $12.

Lola Coastal Mexican {1575 Boulder Street, Denver; 720.570.8686} Head over to the LoHi as the first 100 Casa Coin margaritas are free, limit 2 per guest.

Los Chingones {2463 Larimer Street, Denver; 303.295.0686} Stop by this RiNo hotspot and choose from five of their specialty margaritas for only $5. Try the Spicy Pina crafted with house-infused pepper tequila, pineapple, fresh squeezed orange, lime juice, and a touch of agave.

Sol Mexican Cocina {200 Columbine Street Suite 110, Denver; 303.953.2208} Cherry Creek’s newest Mexican restaurant is offering happy hour margaritas all day. The restaurant will also be offering surprise deals throughout the day, so stay tuned!

Tamayo {1400 Larimer Street, Denver; 720.946.1433} The downtown spot is celebrating with all day happy hour priced margaritas, frozen or on the rocks, for $5.

In a shaker filled with ice, add 2 ounces blanco tequila, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice, and 1/2 agave. Shake and strain over rocks and garnish with a lime wedge. Rim glass with salt if desired.
