How the Program Works

Please read this page carefully as it contains important information on receiving your discounts.

Price is $99 for Passbook (includes shipping/handling).

Once ordered, passbook will be mailed within one week.

You must present the DiningOut Passbook, in its entirety, at the time of purchase to receive the offer listed on the page. NO INDIVIDUAL PAGES, COPIES OF PAGES, OR RIPPED OUT PAGES WILL BE ACCEPTED AS VALID. Only one Passbook will be accepted per table. If you have questions, please contact the restaurant in advance of dining.

The offer will be signed or stamped in the PASSBOOK CONFIRMATION box at the time of your visit. Each offer may only be used once, unless otherwise specified by the restaurant. Once the PASSBOOK CONFIRMATION box is marked, the offer page is considered redeemed and may not be used again.

The DiningOut Passbook is valid through July 31, 2017. The entire Passbook expires after that date, and may not be honored by the listed restaurants.

All buy one, get one offers entitle the bearer to receive a specified item of equal or lesser value than the purchased item. The “buy one” portion is automatically applied to the more expensive item. This deal applies to any meal offered at participating restaurants, excepting those with specific exclusions printed on their deal pages.

The offers in the DiningOut Passbook may not be combined with other offers or discounts, including happy hours. Passbook deals are also not valid during major holidays, including Denver Restaurant Week, without prior explicit approval of the restaurant. Please call restaurants in advance of dining if you have questions about limitations/exclusions.

Passbook deals are valid for dine-in only. Takeout and delivery are excluded. Please be sure to tip on the full amount of the bill before discount.

Some restaurants may list more than one address/location. In this case, the offer can be used at any of the listed locations, but can only be used ONCE. After the offer on that page is redeemed, the listing is no longer valid for further redemption. If a restaurant has an additional location that is NOT listed on the page, that restaurant is not formally participating and is not obligated to honor the promotion. Please call the restaurant ahead of dining if you have any questions.

2016-2017 Participating Restaurants

As of February 2017, the following restaurants have permanently closed: The Inventing Room, Jezebel’s, Vita.

La Biblioteca de Tequila has become La Güera Gastro Cantina and they will still honor the Passbook.

Love the concept of this, and especially at the price I paid ($35 Groupon deal). For full price of $99, I’m not so sure. I have one major qualm and one minor. The major: not all of the deals are “buy one get one entree.” For example, at Solitaire, which has been on my list to try, the deal is bogo apps. Or get a free cocktail with an entree. And Bar Dough is bogo cocktails or a free pizza with a bottle of wine. Pinche is bogo margaritas. Not that these are bad deals, but not exactly as advertised. And it would be unfortunate if you or your partner is pregnant and you bought this great Denver dining coupon book to try fun restaurants and many of the deals at the most popular/trendy places are just for booze. Hopefully I have made my point. My minor qualm is that I really wish the website would offer a “map view” to easily identify which restaurants are where, especially if you aren’t too familiar with all the names. There’s still hope for that I suppose 🙂

This book makes crushing the Denver Food Scene easy and fun. It challenges you to get out of your neighborhood and try restaurants you might not normally go to or think about. Well worth the purchase.

Terrible customer service. The number provided after an email is sent to customer service is invalid!

Lindsay — Thanks for your note, and we apologize for the frustration with the 800 number. We have recently fixed the glitch now, so customers can leave a message by pressing “0” after the message, or can send us an e-mail at [email protected]. Again, we apologize for the frustration, and thank you for bringing it to our attention! —The Passbook Team

I second Leigh’s suggestion about the Map! I had already thought of making one for you guys! LMK, I bet it’d be easy and it’d be so handy! Otherwise I love the passbook, got one last year and this year. 🙂

Great idea, Sarah and Leigh! We will definitely consider incorporating a map into future versions of the Passbook. We’re glad you’re enjoying it, and thank you for the feedback! —The Passbook Team

Love this product. I agree with a couple of other reviewers. A map would be super helpful. Or if you could create a grouping on yelp that would be even better. Either way, thanks for putting it all together. Even better than last year.

I love the passbook except it was hard to find places since I was just walking down 16th street and was trying to find something close. The passbook is more for planned dining and not out of convenience of already being out. I was going to save EVERY address to my google maps but I ended up finding a map on Reddit Hope this helps. In the future I suggest a small cross street map on each page to indicate location.

I fourth the idea for a digital map – that would be so useful! We are really enjoying the passbook so far! 🙂

Love the concept. It makes me try new places I couldn’t afford/never heard of.
    Needs a map. Badly.
Here is one that someone made on Google Maps though:

I think this is a fantastic value. I bought this on Living Social. Of the 82 restaurants that participate, 68 of them are buy one get one. Yes, that is not all, but it is most. 68 opportunities to buy one entree get one free is a TREMENDOUS value. Lots of places I’m looking forward to trying out! Like others mentioned, I also wish there were a map that was in the book that showed you were everything was located. It would be cool, if I were in a new part of town, to quickly turn to a page in the book and see what I’m closest too. Overall – super happy.

Such great way to get to know new places in Denver. Many are restaurants are places we would not normally venture to so its great to have them to in a way force us there. Bought on Groupon and the value is unbelievable, pays for itself in 2 visits!

My passbook never came in the mail and they never sent me the download. I am so excited to use it but its been 3 weeks now and haven’t heard back from them. 🙁

Agree with the person above – ordered mid August…. Where is the book???!!! We want to use this but why is it taking so long to arrive?!?!

Ok I got mine- Finally- it wasn’t fast, at all… but its here and looks amazing. Such a super value, especially when purchased through groupon- can’t wait to get out and use this puppy!!! 🙂

This is a good idea but one issue that keeps getting in the way of my girlfriend and I enjoying this. There is no map showing where the restaurants are and they are not organized by neighborhood. If we know we are going to be in one part of the city for a night it would be nice to know which restaurants are in that area and that they are on the passbook. We have seen this in other buy one get one programs but not the Denver Passbook. Very simple concept that we can’t believe they have not figured out yet.

I have been searching the web looking for a map and found the comments here that there isn’t one. Really hope that happens soon!

  17. Rated 3 out of 5

Please please make an app for this. I would love an interactive map that I could sort through by cuisine type, location/neighborhood, if they were open, offered brunch, etc. It would also be fantastic if you could scan the coupon at the locations on your phone (like Groupon) rather than carrying this book around. I always forget to bring it.

The map view would be very worthwhile. It should be an easy addition to the website. Can you set this up?

I agree with many of the other reviewers, mainly about the map. Being new to Denver and eager to explore the foodie scene, this was well worth the Groupon Deal. Since we had no idea where everything was – we made a map of the 2016 restaurants. Enjoy!
