Escape the chill of winter on a quick trip to Cairo with this creative hot cocktail from The Kitchen Denver {1530 16th Street, Denver; 303.623.3127}. With local Leopold Bros. gin, aromatic rosehip tea, and an herbal Italian aperitif, this hot drink will make you feel sophisticated, worldly, and most of all, warm.

The Hotel Cairo from The Kitchen Denver

Combine 2 oz Leopold Brothers small batch gin, 1/2 oz Vermouth del Professore, 1 oz rosehip tea*,  1/2 oz honey syrup, and 1/2 oz lemon juice in a shaker. Shake to combine. Pour into a coupe glass and garnish with dried rosehips.

*To make rosehip tea, steep 3 parts dried rosehips and 1 part dried hibiscus flowers in hot water.
