7 Best Places to Eat and Watch Super Bowl 50

From nachos to wings, where to get your favorite Super Bowl foods and drinks

The Broncos are headed to Super Bowl 50! Denver Broncos fans will be out in full force drinking plenty of beer and chowing down on traditional football fare like wings, nachos, and burgers. We think this football milestone deserves really good versions of these time-honored favorites. To help you find the best place to enjoy the game and great grub, we have compiled a list of where to watch Super Bowl 50 based on what you want to eat and drink.

HTB - Bison Burger for super Bowl 50

Highland Tap and Burger {2219 West 32nd Avenue, Denver; 720.287.4493} is, for many, the go-to spot to cheer on the Broncos all season long. As the name suggests, HTB is a hotbed of enthusiastic fans, local beers, and award-winning burgers. Try the Bison Bacon Cheeseburger with a smoked, dry-rubbed bison patty, applewood-smoked bacon, aged white cheddar, and pickled jalapeño.

Boones Tavern - Wings

Boone’s Tavern {1135 East Evans Avenue, Denver; 720.961.0320} has 11 flatscreens and a giant 10-by-five-foot HD screen to watch the game from all angles. Their smoked and flash-fried wings have won accolades from both local and national media and are always a hit with guests. Choose a sauce—Garlic Hound, Barbecue, Buffalo, Jalapenño, or Three-Chile Inferno—and wash them down with a nice cold draft brew.

HTD - Whiskey Flight

Homegrown Tap and Dough {1001 South Gaylord Street, Denver; 720.459.8736} has exactly what you need if you’re a little beered-out. Flights of whiskey might be just the thing to help you push the Broncos to victory with positive thoughts. In addition to great beer, burgers, and pizza, they offer four different flights of whiskey for $12. We suggest the Rye Whiskey flight with an added shot of A.D. Laws Rye.

West End Tavern - Wings

West End Tavern {926 Pearl Street, Boulder; 303.444.3535} will have the game playing on all six flatscreens and will run drink specials all day long so you hang out before you watch Super Bowl 50. Their Barbecue Nachos are finger-licking good and only $10, and will go perfectly with an order of their wings. The doors open at 11:30am, so get there early to grab your spot. Of course, if you’re planning to watch the game from home, you can order from their Tavern To-Go menu to create an awesome party without cooking.

Blackbird Public House {305 South Downing Street, Denver; 303.733.3923}, located in North Washington Park, has garnered praise for their thin crust pizza, wings, and ribs since opening in November of 2014. The pizzas are available in both 10 and 12-inch sizes, and there is a gluten-free option. Choose from 11 chef-created variations, including the Swine Lover’s pizza with homemade bacon jam, mozzarella, salami, capicola, and prosciutto or you can get creative and design one made just for you.

Green Chile

Bull and Bush {4700 Cherry Creek Drive South, Denver; 303.750.0333} offers an old-style British pub atmosphere combined with a little American football frenzy. They have been making some of Denver’s best green chile for almost 45 years. Order it on its own or smothering the “Bull”rito filled with a choice of pulled chicken, grilled steak, pork carnitas, or chipotle shrimp.
