There’s a spicy food craze that we are experiencing as hot sauces are gaining the hottest levels of popularity with the flavoring of chips and drinks, plus the food we celebrate today on National Hot Chicken Day. Louisiana’s Popeyes marinades their chicken for 12 hours in herbs and spices, Dave’s Hot Chicken seems to be ever expanding and desired for their named specialty, and even the king of chicken chains, KFC, offers a spicy option.

Here at DiningOut, we love chicken so much that we dedicated an entire festival to it – Chicken Fight! We deemed this the perfect day to share some of the 2022 participants that competed for Best Fried Chicken and offer the meal of the day. Take your pick and start exploring these savory restaurants, and of course, sign up for alerts to stay updated on festival updates and ticket launches.
