Former Colorado governor and current U.S. Senate candidate John Hickenlooper is hosting a virtual conversation with members of Colorado’s bar and restaurant industry on Monday, September 28 at 11 a.m. Dave Query (of Big Red F Restaurant Group) will be chatting with Hick about the hospitality industry and the myriad of challenges and opportunities facing its owners, operators, and employees these days. (Oh yeah…his congressional campaign will probably come up, too.) Of particular interest: The discussion will include time for a listener Q&A.
Hickenlooper is well-known as one of the founders of Denver’s Wynkoop Brewing Co., which opened in 1988. He spent nearly two decades as a restaurant owner before he sold his shares of Wynkoop Holdings, Inc., in 2007; at that time the group owned seven restaurants, including The Cherry Cricket, Gaetano’s and the now-defunct Wazee Supper Club. He served as Denver’s mayor from 2003 to 2011 and governor from 2011 to 2019.
To listen in on the discussion and get your questions answered, RSVP here. Attendees will receive a calendar invite and email with Zoom link on Sunday, September 27.
We’ll continue to post similar industry-centric events from candidates and politicians on both sides of the aisle as we become aware of them.
