You don’t need a survey or a statement on letterhead to know it’s bad out there. We’re providing the CRA’s November Restaurant Impact Survey to you anyway—not because it will come as a surprise that over 90 percent of the state’s restaurants are down compared to last year—but because it’s a visceral, if grim, reminder that you’re not in this alone.
If you’re thinking the cost of winterizing your patio isn’t worth it, you’re in good company; nearly one in five restaurant owners say they’re foregoing the the effort because of the high cost. And if you’re one of the operators currently limited to 25 percent capacity and wondering why you’re even bothering to stay open, you might take solace in the fact that almost three out of four restaurants are considering shutting down for good in the next six months, too. Over 170 restaurants responded to the survey between November 4 and 12. Take a look at what they had to say below, then tell us what your experience has been at email@example.com.
