The Small Business Administration (SBA) keeps threatening restaurant and bar owners with the prospect of accepting applications for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF), the $28.6 billion grant program…soon. April 30, 2021 has been floated as the earliest date that business owners can submit grant applications, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

In the meantime, signs that “soon” is actually, well, soon are multiplying. The application portal is currently being tested to ensure it can withstand the intense demand it’s going to face upon going live, and the SBA has announced two online portal training sessions. On Tuesday, April 27 or Wednesday, April 28, tune in at 12:30 p.m. for training that will cover how, where, and when to apply; what documents to have on hand; how to navigate the application; and more. The webinars are free, but registration is required. Sign up for the Tuesday session here and the Wednesday session here.
