Amos Watts

the Fifth String

Amos Watts went to culinary school in Denver, then moved with his with wife Jessica that he met at school to Miami. They then moved to Healdsburg, CA so Amos could work for Douglas Keane at Cyrus. They moved back to Denver in 2011, where Amos became the chef of Jax Fish House lodo. He then opened and lead the team of Acorn. After that, he became the executive chef of Old Major. Following that, in 2018 he opened Corrida, a Spanish restaurant and steakhouse. In August of 2020, Amos and his wife Jessica opened the Fifth String in what was formally Old Major.
Since then they have been awarded top 25 best restaurants in Denver.
