Even though we’re in the thick of autumn, there are plenty of restaurants and events in the Denver area that are serving up dishes that are perfect for fall. From savory to sweet, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a cozy spot to escape the cold or an exciting new restaurant to try out, we got you covered. Here’s what’s on the menu this November in the Denver area, keep reading for our favorite picks this November.

First Friday Vegan Lunch Buffet at Jill’s Restaurant | Nov. 4

The first location on our what’s on the menu this November in the Denver area, Back by popular demand, Friday Vegan Buffets return to Jill’s Restaurant at the St. Julien in Boulder. On the first Friday of every month, Executive Chef Rich Byers will feature a rotation of vegan salads, grains, vegetables, wood oven pizzas, desserts and more for $28 per person. The vegan lunch buffet is offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations can be made here at Jill’s Restaurant and Bistro

Black Sheep Fridays: S’mores and Schitt | Nov. 4 @ 7 p.m.

A s’mores bar and Schitts Creek trivia at Denver’s Museum of Contemporary Art? Sign us up! If you find yourself saying “Eww David” or randomly singing “Simply the Best” by Tina Turner in the shower, this event is for you. MCA is teaming up with GeeksWhoDrink to bring us Schitt’s Creek trivia and s’mores. Bring your biggest sunglasses, wear a fabulous wig, and let’s see who is the biggest fan. Costumes and/or Schitt’s Creek attire are encouraged! Tickets are $20 and are available on the MCA website.

Colorado Uncorked 2022 | Nov. 4 @ 6 p.m. 

Raise a glass to the Colorado Wine Industry, which is partnering once again with History Colorado for this annual event. A ticket gains you a tasting of the wines in the 2022 Governor’s Cup Collection, each paired with small-plate item created by some of Colorado’s top chefs, who worked with the wineries to create dishes that perfectly complement the flavors of the wine. The winner of the 2022 Governor’s Cup will be announced at this event as well (the announcement is expected around 8 p.m.). VIP entry begins at 6 PM with an intimate opportunity to taste this year’s winners, followed by a tasting of Governor’s Cup wines from previous years paired with a more extensive menu from Café Rendezvous. General admission begins at 7 p.m. and includes the wines in this year’s Collection. Tickets via History Colorado.

The Saturday Serve at The Original | Nov. 5

Located within McGregor Square across from Coors Field, The Original offers a special drag brunch series, The Saturday Serve, with resident host queen, Laura Menorah. On Saturday, Nov. 5, the monthly drag brunch welcomes diners to enjoy stellar drag queen performances from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and signature favorites, including the doughnut sliders, prepared with angus beef, HABIT glazed doughnut, bacon, American cheese, onion jam; and of course, the Bloody Mary, made with Family Jones vodka, house made bloody mix, pickled vegetable, celery and bacon. Bottomless mimosas are also available, paired with orange, grapefruit and cranberry juices. Tamalada Class at Que Bueno Suerte | Nov. 5–Dec. 17

“Tamalada” translates to a festive Mexican tradition where members of the family come together to make tamales, and Que Bueno Suerte is launching its inaugural Tamaladas classes featuring hands-on instruction of how to make tamales. The classes will begin Saturday, Nov. 5 and run through Saturday, Dec. 17. Tickets are $60 per person and include the class, two drinks per person, a dozen tamales to take home, a meal and swag. In addition to the tamales, attendees will also learn to make traditional margaritas and other tequila-based cocktails for the holidays from a local tequila vendor. Tickets available here. Renditions Dinner: Concert + Five Course Menu + Chef/Sommelier Talk at Nocturne | Nov. 6

Enjoy the artistic blend of music and dining at Nocturne. Inspired by the music of the great Carmen McRae, guests will enjoy a menu that reflects the aesthetics of the music while taking part in a live performance of the very songs that inspired each dish in a deliciously crafted five-course tasting menu. The night includes discussions with the musicians on stage, course explanations by Nocturne’s chef Dustin Beckner, and pairing notes sommelier/Nocturne co-owner Scott Mattson. Election Day Deals at TAG Restaurant Group | Nov. 8 + 9 

Election Day is coming up and TAG Restaurant Group wants you to get out there and vote! TAG restaurants are running a special promo at participating locations to encourage the people to make their voice heard. On November 8th and 9th only, come in with an “I Voted” sticker and mention of this promo to be eligible for: one free small pancake at HashTAG, a free cookie at Bubu, a free signature taco at Los Chingones, and one free Little Dry Creek Brewery beer at Grange Food Hall. Florence Supper Club: Dinner Pop Up at Brasserie Brixton | Nov. 7

A four-course Italian dinner at a super cute French restaurant: sounds like heaven, right? There are two seatings available—5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.—and a seat at either runs for $85. Wine and cocktails are available for an additional cost. Take it from the proprietors, who say “We promise you won’t leave hungry and we promise we will all have fun.” Tickets available on Resy.com

Ace Eat Serve Peking Duck House | Nov. 8 

For one special night, Ace Eat Serve transforms into The Ace Peking Duck House, featuring a live DJ, high-end raffle, table games, specialty cocktails featuring Woody Creek Distillery—and, of course, the restaurant’s world-famous Peking duck. Each duck reserved includes a three-course menu that includes hot & sour oyster mushroom soup, whole Peking duck (complete with mu shu crepes and the works), Thai shrimp fried rice, wok-charred gailan, and Asian pear cornmeal cake dessert. Denver Grilled Cheese Fest at McNichols Building| Nov. 9 @  6 p.m.

Also what’s on the menu this November in the Denver area, Treat your tastebuds with grilled cheese sandwiches while you support children’s literacy. Tickets, which start at $60, include all-you-can-eat-and-drink grilled cheese sammies, beer, wine, and (this year) more desserts than ever before. And it’s for a stellar cause: For every dollar spent on your ticket, one is going to Imagination Library, a free-to-families book mailing program for Denver children under age 6. Second-Annual Truffle Dinner at Restaurant Olivia | Nov. 11, 12, 13

The owners of this beloved Denver restaurant travel to Alba in Piedmont, Italy, in search of truffles, wine and inspiration. Upon their return, they debut a 7-course tasting menu that includes both black and white truffles and plenty of handmade pasta. MobCraft Dee Tacko Grand Opening | Nov. 12 

MobCraft Dee Tacko will be hosting a grand opening celebration on Nov 12, 2022 at the new brewery and taqueria, located at 2403 Champa Street in the Curtis Park neighborhood of Denver, CO. The party will feature games, raffles, timed tappings of special release beers and plenty of delicious food from Dee Tacko.

The day-long celebration kicks off at 12 noon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, From there, the first special tapping of the day gets underway. Special release beers for the celebration include MobCraft rarities, including several variants of Padishah bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout, 2019 Tree, Time and Vines Oak-Aged Brett Old Ale with dates, raisins and figs, and other cult classics. The day’s schedule is filled with games, entertainment, and raffles held every half-hour. Prizes include rare bottles, growler refills, and even free tacos for a year (drawn at 5:30 p.m.) and free beer for a year (drawn at 9:30 p.m.)—and you gotta be there to win.

34th Annual Champagne Cascade at The Brown Palace | Nov. 13 @ 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Let the magic of the holidays warm your spirit at The Brown Palace’s 34th Annual Champagne Cascade in the picturesque Atrium Lobby. This iconic Denver event features master swordsmen using Napoleonic sabers to sever the bottlenecks of Moet Champagne magnums. The champagne is then poured into the uppermost glass of a two-story high, 5,000+ glass pyramid. As the champagne is poured, it cascades into the glasses below, creating a stunning display of streaming fizz while a cheering crowd lines all levels on our holiday-adorned Atrium Lobby.

Special guest former Colorado Avalanche John-Michael Liles will pour the champagne along with our General Manager, Nick Moschetti. Attendees will also enjoy soothing sounds from the John Kite Quartet, the lighting of the holiday Denver Debutante Chandelier, and presentations from Make-a-Wish Colorado. Public Offering Brewing Co. Grand Opening | Nov. 18, 19, 20 

The weekend-long bash of this new South Broadway brewery includes a variety of Public Offering beers, food trucks, and more. On Saturday, Nov. 19, the brewery is hosting informal brewery tours where guests can take in views of the 10-barrel brewhouse that’s enclosed with floor-to-ceiling windows. Not to mention there will be live music from Island Folk Rock Band Lola Rising from 4 to 6 p.m. Public Offering Brewing Co.

Sip & Script Calligraphy at Woodie Fisher Kitchen & Bar | Nov. 29

And to finish our list of What’s On the Menu This November in the Denver Area, Cocktails and modern calligraphy for beginners? Sign us up! This is the ideal night out for any self-identifying stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual. In this workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor and more. Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, a beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, two letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on.
