There is no escaping the excitement of one of the largest sporting events worldwide. I joined in hope, with many of you, to witness a thrilling Detroit vs. Baltimore showdown, but fate had opposite plans, leaving us with a face-off between Kansas City and San Francisco. Without any skin in the game, I'm along for the ride of entertaining commercial breaks and dancing my way through the Halftime Show. For those seeking the perfect spot to revel in the excitement of the big game, here are five local venues hosting watch parties. And if you prefer to watch in the comfort of your home, but not deal with the hassle of cooking we have five more places where you can get some game day To Go specials. Reminder kickoff is at 4:30 PM!

There’s no escaping the excitement of one of the largest sporting events in the world. Yes, the Super Bowl. Though none of my favorite teams made it to the big game, I’m along for the ride, watching the entertaining commercial breaks and dancing my way through the Halftime Show. For those seeking the perfect spot to revel in the excitement of the big game, here are five local venues hosting watch parties. Or, if you prefer to watch in the comfort of your home, check out these places to get some game day to-go specials. Reminder, kickoff is at 4:30 p.m., but the eating and drinking can commence at any time.

WATCH PARTIES

Slattery’s Pub & Grill

5364 Greenwood Plaza Blvd, Greenwood Village, CO 80111

As the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers battle it out at this year’s Super Bowl, head to Slattery’s in the Denver Tech Center. With 26 screens and a state-of-the-art sound deck, it’s the perfect spot to wear your team’s colors and immerse yourself in the action. Plus, eat all the Irish comfort food including Irish nachos, corned beef with cabbage, fish and chips and more. Add on a pint of local beer and you don’t even need the game to have fun.

FlyteCo® Tower

3120 Uinta St, Denver, CO 80238

For the second year in a row, the old airport watch tower in Central Park will be a Super Bowl hub. With big screens on the second floor it’s a great place to host a party, all without having to do any of the cooking or cleaning. Keep in mind this venue doesn’t take reservations, so make sure to get there early to snag a table.

Federales

2901 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205

Enjoy the big game from Federales Tequila & Tacos in RiNo. Their large 360-degree bar will help keep the party going. Enjoy game day specials, including $20 beer buckets. Grab an ice shot or two to toast each touchdown, and see if you can score by ringing the bell with your used ice glass.

McGregor Square

1901 Wazee St, Denver, CO 80202

There’s no where in Denver that offers a 66-foot LED screen, the next best thing to actually being at the game. Watch the action from the heated second-floor terrace, a private spot overlooking the McGregor Square plaza. The party starts at 3 p.m. and is 21+ only. The $30 ticket Includes Anthony’s Pizza, a welcome beer and exclusive access to the private heated terrace and indoor viewing space complete with seating.

Boulder Wine Bar

2035 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302

Dubbed the Slightly Irreverent Watching Party, expect good wine to go with the game. Also expect to see said game on an 85-inch television. Aside from vino the bar serves craft beer, cocktails and mocktails, as well as plenty of snacks and appetizers.
