5 Cozy Cocktails in and around Denver
Dek goes here…
Denver is bracing for the cold this week, which has us daydreaming about warmth. I’m imagining lounging on a comfy couch with a fuzzy blanket, the fireplace is going, and there is a hot drink in my hand. I automatically envision the warm beverage as hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, but mixologists have been getting creative with what libations can be poured into your mugs. As we buckle up for the remainder of a Colorado Winter season, we want to give you some spots for you to enjoy five of the coziest cocktails in town.
Reynard Social
1616 Market St, Denver, CO 80202
Does your mind also wander to hot cocoa in cold temperatures? You’re in luck, Reynard Social has created a Hot Chocolate Tom & Jerry just for us! The cocktail lounge lights its fireplaces on the sixth floor of the Thompson Hotel with sweeping views of the Rockies, 16th Street Mall, and downtown Denver.
The Lazy Greyhound
2570 Main St, Littleton, CO 80120
A traditional Hot Toddy is a great segway if you are new to the hot cocktail arena. Off of Main Street in Littleton, you can find a “British gentlemen’s club” inspired lounge to indulge in one of their many specialty drinks.
The Tatarian
4024 Tennyson St, Denver, CO 80212
Dragon’s Blood at The Tatarian is guaranteed to keep you warm with its concoction of liquors. A cocktail lounge staple in Denver, The Tatarian gained its status from their continual creativity and talent. You can sip on this cocktail on Tennyson Street.
The Broken Cage
2420 17th St #103, Denver, CO 80202
If you enjoy wine, you’re covered for the season with Mulled (also known as spiced) wine. In case you don’t already know, behind Denver Beer Co. off of Platte Street, there is a small, cozy, cocktail bar called The Broken Cage. Make sure you don’t skip out on their eats, either!
OAK at Fourteenth
1400 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO, 80302
You might know OAK at Fourteenth for their cuisine, however, they also boast an amazing cocktail program that is currently serving up Mulled Cider. Visit them on Boulder’s beloved Pearl Street Mall and grab a delicious meal while you’re there, too.
