KOREAWORLD Pop-Up at Hey Kiddo
For one night only chef Deuki Hong heads to Denver to take over Kelly Whitaker’s Hey Kiddo kitchen. In celebration of his new book, KOREAWORLD, the chef will create a “trust us” tasting menu. Drink Red, Wear Read at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Drink red wine, sample cocktails, and enjoy bites of food from some of Denver’s top restaurants, all while raising money for the Colorado Restaurant Association Mile High Chapter Hardship Fund and the Colorado Restaurant Foundation. The fund provides emergency grants to industry workers in need. Look for plates by Kumoya, Monarch Chophouse at Monarch Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk, Barolo Grill, and so many more. The alfresco event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and costs $70 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased here. Mediterranean Wine Pairing Dinner at Jax Fish House Glendale
Inspired by Croatia, Greece and Barcelona, enjoy a tapas-style dinner complete with wine pairings. Chef Jenna McNeil designed the menu, and diners can expect dishes such as a lobster crêpe, grilled octopus with charred lemon tzatziki, and crostini with cured Spanish ham. Uncle’s Meat ‘n’ Three at The Block Distilling Co.
Join chef Tommy Lee (Uncle and Hop Alley), GetRight’s Bakery, and The Block Distilling Co. for a special summer dinner series running today, through August 31. The pop-up will run every Friday starting at 5 p.m., and Saturday starting at 2 p.m., until the food runs out. Expect a lunch tray full of southern classics with an Asian twist. Each order is $18, and for an extra $5 you can get a lime tart by the bakery. Also special to the menu is the bar’s One Night in Bangkok cocktail with boba. 11th Annual Whiskey & Doughnuts
Oh the joy of a sweet baked good paired with spicy brown spirits. That’s exactly what you’ll get at this yearly fete presented by LaMar’s Donuts & Coffee. General admission tickets run $64.99 and include unlimited samples of the featured items. Participating vendors on the spirits side include, but are not limited to, Deerhammer, Molly Brown Spirits, Warrior Whiskey, and Golden Moon Distillery. On the doughnut side, look for samples from Voodoo Doughnut, Peak Donuts, Parlor Doughnuts, and more. Of course LaMar’s Donuts will also have plenty of its own sweet treats. Head to the mountains this Friday and Saturday to sample more than 50 local breweries during the eighth annual Vail Craft Beer Classic.
