As Denver’s dining scene continues to sizzle, 2024 is shaping up to be a smorgasbord of sensational new spots. From whimsical eateries to innovative culinary concepts, here’s the lowdown on the eateries that are on the way or in the works. This is already shaping up to be one helluva delicious year.

“Opening January 2024 in Denver’s South Broadway neighborhood, The Goldfinch offers a first-in-the-area experience from Denver hospitality veteran Iain Chisholm. An intimate gathering place featuring craft libations and culinary delights, the high-end cocktail bar is enriched by curated music and live entertainment, including cabaret, approachable house-centric tunes mixed by a DJ, and more.”

Behind this bar-forward restaurant with an art-deco twist is the Lotus Concepts group. Wonderyard Garden + Table will feature whimsical designs, rotating dining areas, and artistic sculptures. The menu, developed in collaboration with Basta’s chef Jose Rodriguez, will include shareable plates and unique cocktails. Location: 2200 Larimer St.

Frasca Hospitality Group, known for Frasca Food and Wine and Pizzeria Alberico in Boulder, is set to open Osteria Alberico in Englewood. Drawing inspiration from Italy’s neighborhood osterias, this new concept will offer Neapolitan-style pizzas, handmade pasta, and a robust beverage program. Location: 3455 S. University Blvd., formerly Paxti’s Pizza.

Building on the success of RiNo’s Uchi, Hai Hospitality is set to open Uchiko in Cherry Creek. This new venture will expand on Uchi’s renowned sushi offerings with a fresh raw bar and an enhanced wood-fired menu, under the expert guidance of their culinary team. Location: 299 Fillmore St.

James Beard Finalist Carlo Lamagna, celebrated for his innovative Filipino cuisine, is partnering with Culinary Creative to open Magna Kainan. Lamagna plans to showcase his family’s recipes, offering Denver a genuine taste of the Philippines. Location: NOVEL RiNo Community.

Former NBA player Kevin Johnson brings Fixins Soul Kitchen to Denver’s historic Five Points. This venture, celebrating Black culture and cuisine, will offer soul food classics in a jazz-infused atmosphere. Location: The Hooper, 26th and Welton.

Denver’s own Troy Guard of TAG Restaurant Group is set to open a second location of the beloved HashTAG. Known for its dynamic brunch scene, this expansion promises to deliver Guard’s signature culinary creativity. Think lively music and atmosphere, boozy brunch cocktails, and an innovative take on classic brunch fare. Location: 1125 17th Street.
Guests at the new location can expect to find menu staples like the award-winning Egg Benedicts, Chilaquiles, Big Cast-Iron Cinnamon Roll, Biscuits & Gravy, and platter-sized HashTAG Hotcakes in various seasonal and house varieties.

Jamie Lynch, known from “Top Chef,” along with chef Adam Hodgson, is set to unveil Church and Union Denver. This spot will offer New American cuisine, promising an elevated yet approachable dining experience. Location: 1433 17th St.

The team behind Leven Deli Co. is expanding with Leven Supply, a unique combination of deli, bakery, and wine bar. This new venture will continue to offer its acclaimed scratch-made fare and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Location: Wash Park Supply retail center, 300 E. Alameda Blvd.

Restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King, alongside Vietnamese chef Nicole Routhier and culinary director Hassan Obaye, are bringing the illustrious Le Colonial to Cherry Creek. This Vietnamese restaurant will blend traditional flavors with contemporary culinary techniques. Location: Cherry Creek.

The esteemed ChoLon Modern Asian, a brainchild of Chef Lon Symensma, is expanding its footprint to Sloan’s Lake. This new location will continue to offer ChoLon’s signature modern Asian dishes, including the famed kaya toast. If you don’t know how good it is, stop by either of the other ChoLon locations and let the chefs inform you. Bonus: it’s on the happy hour menu. The dish is magic. Location: 4200 W. 17th Ave.
