What Restaurants Have the Best Desserts?
Dek goes here…
We recently asked Denver Facebook groups on social Media, “What restaurants have the best desserts?”, and your sweet tooth spoke. Veering away from famously delicious bakeries, we targeted dining establishments around the city where you can enjoy both a full meal and cap it with a decadent final course. Or, maybe you prefer to go straight to the mouth-watering cookies, churros, cakes, gelato, pies, s’mores, and more that this list entails. Next time you have a sugar craving or a special celebration that calls for dessert, we invite you to reference the list below (in alphabetical order) that your fellow Denverites helped us to compile.
A is for Acova and Avelina.
Acova: Bread Pudding
3651 Navajo St, Denver, CO 80211
Acova starts off our list, and if you have not yet ventured to this modern LoHi establishment, with a killer patio, you need to. This is a go-to recommendation for a restaurant, because after ordering a majority of the menu, not a single one of their dishes is a miss. Truly, you cannot go wrong here. Their large serving of bread pudding might appear to be too much at the end of a big meal, but it will miraculously disappear as you will not be able to stop indulging.
Avelina: Dulche De Leche Flan with apples and Yuzu caramel
1550 17th St, Denver, CO 80202
Avelina, located in LoDo, recently named Nick Duree as their new Executive Chef. Previously at local restaurants Guard and Grace and American Elm, Chef Duree brought his experience and knowledge to Avelina, continuing its award winning notoriety. We highly recommend the Dulche de Leche Flan topped with seasonal fruit and yuzu caramel.
