National Cookie Day at Leven Deli Co.

Celebrate National Cookie Day with a scrumptious, scratch-made cookie from Leven Deli Co., a reinvigorated take on the classic Jewish deli known for its Mediterranean-inspired sandwiches, salads, and artisanal baked goods. Choose between classic chocolate chip (said by many to be the best chocolate chip cookie in Denver), oatmeal raisin, or Snickerdoodle for $4 per cookie or $44 per baker’s dozen. Repeal of Prohibition Day at The Fort

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, The Fort invites guests to celebrate Repeal of Prohibition Day (Dec. 5) with its historic cocktails. Favorites include Trade Whiskey, a historic Old West fur trade recipe mixing bourbon with red pepper, tobacco, and black gun powder; 1732 Philadelphia Fish House Punch, made from rum mixed with peach brandy, sugar, and lemon juice over ice; 1840 Hailstorm Premiere Julep, with the choice of bourbon or scotch, mixed with sugar and mint and served in a Mason jar; and many more. Black & White Night – Our Annual Truffle Dinner

Mizuna is back and one of these exclusive tables should be yours! It’s Italian truffle season and Frank and the chefs have been positively giddy about menu planning for this one-night-only experience. This is decadence the way only Mizuna can do it– refined, whimsical, and simply breathtaking. Rhein Haus x Denver Rescue Mission Fundraiser

Rhein Haus will host Denver Rescue Mission’s annual Rockin’ Rescue Night Out event on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Doors open at 6 p.m. and guests can celebrate the holiday season while supporting the community and empowering families in need. The 16th annual event will feature all the Rhein Haus favorites, from pretzels and bratwursts to German lagers, and guests can provide monetary donations in exchange for silent auction raffle tickets. The Upbeat – Live Jazz at Postino WineCafé

Catch a vibe at Postino, a cozy wine bar with three locations in Denver, with live jazz tunes by the Jesse Troutman trio. Guests can settle into the heated patio and peruse Postino’s extensive list of by-the-glass wine selections as they share bruschetta boards and charcuterie platters. The live music goes from 6-8 p.m. and takes place at Postino LoHi on Dec. 7, Postino 9+Co on Jan. 4, and Postino Broadway on Jan. 18.

Pinkies Up, Holiday Tea at Local Jones

Guests can spend the afternoon sipping tea at Local Jones, located within Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek, with warm scones, house-made pastries, savory sandwiches, and Champagne. Offered five days a week throughout the holiday season, afternoon tea at Local Jones is anything but ordinary; curated by executive chef Dan Young and pastry chef Saura Kline, this modern take on tea is offered Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., beginning through Sunday, Dec. 31. Beginning at $55, guests will enjoy tea service for two, as well as petit fours, sandwich bites and scones. Guests also have the option to add a glass or bottle of Chandon sparkling wine or Dom Perignon Champagne. Reservations are required and can be made here.

Tamalada Class at Que Bueno Suerte

“Tamalada” refers to a festive Mexican tradition where members of a family come together to spend time together and make tamales. This December, Que Bueno Suerte hosts its annual Tamalada classes, featuring hands-on instruction in the art of traditional tamale making. The classes will take place the first four Saturdays of December (Dec. 2, 9, 16, and 23) from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $70 for individuals and $120 per couple and include the class, two drinks per person, a meal, and a dozen tamales to take home. In addition to the tamales, attendees will also learn to make traditional margaritas for the holidays. Click here for tickets.

Gingerbread Tea at St Julien

Holiday tea returns to St Julien on every Sunday through Dec. 17, the Boulder hotel will host holiday tea with assorted gourmet teas, scones, tea sandwiches, and petit fours. In the Xanadu Ballroom, guests will enjoy live holiday jazz and children will enjoy gingerbread cookie decorating, complete with a complimentary chef hat and apron. A percentage of proceeds from Holiday Tea will benefit There With Care and guests are also invited to bring an unwrapped toy to support the drive. Reservations can be made here for either noon or 2:30 p.m. with tickets starting at $45 per person ($20 for children six and under).

Holiday Beer Fest (+Santa!) at Hops & Pie

Hops & Pie is having a Holiday Winter Beer Fest on Saturday, December 9, and Sunday, December 10 to help us all ‘cheers!’ to the holiday season. On Sunday, Santa and carolers will be on-site from noon – 2 p.m. They just ask for a small unwrapped toy donation to secure a spot on Santa’s lap, all of which will be donated.
