Margaritaville

Beware the end result of this cheekily named margarita.

According to new research conducted by Funkin Cocktails, an international cocktail mixer company, the margarita is the most Googled cocktail in its survey of 115 countries. The marg averages nearly 550,000 searches worldwide per month. Elena Simon, bar manager at Aurora’s Comida, isn’t surprised; after all, the cocktail is infinitely versatile. “It’s a popular drink because this classic recipe is so easy for anyone to put their own twist on,” she says.

Sweet, spicy, floral, and even wintry (hello, cranberry and caramel): We’ve seen it all. Comida’s collection of eclectic margaritas has garnered hero status. “Our most popular margaritas are pineapple habanero, watermelon jalapeño, and agua de Jamaica, [but] our favorite riff on the menu is called the Baby Maker,” Simon says. “This cocktail is sweet, tart, and has a hint of spice. This original Comida drink is usually ordered because of its name, but reordered because of the delicious contrasting flavors.”
