Aug. 14: Motown Mondays @ Millers & Rossi
Location: Millers & Rossi – 3542 Walnut St., Denver
Every Monday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., drink and pizza specials abound at this RiNo hot spot—and it’s the only time you can get a pie at this cocktail lounge. That means $3 Montuckys, $5 Fernet, $8 cocktails, Fernet swag, and one helluva dance party, as DJ Danny Boy brings back a lost era of music, one record at a time so you can burn off the cheesy calories on the dance floor.
Aug. 15: Beats on the Creek @ Cohills Restaurant and Bar
Location: Coohills Restaurant and Bar – 1400 Wewatta St. Denver
On Tuesdays in August, Coohills sets up a summer concert series on the bridge over Cherry Creek in LoDo, and it’s always a good time—and it supports local nonprofit The Cottonwood Institute with your $5 admission. This week, the beats come from Mr. Majestyk’s 8 Track Revival—a fiercely talented eight-piece cover-song playing tracks from the ’70s you know and love. And on that bridge above the creek, Cohills sets up bars where you can procure cocktails, beers, wine, and whatnot. The restaurant itself opens at 4:30 p.m. on concert nights, and the bar area’s open seating is first-come, first-serve. Patio tables require a reservation, and that reservation will secure your spot for the evening—as long as you commit to a $65 per person minimum spend. You can find more details here.
