Lunar New Year Food, Love & Nostalgia @ The Far East Center

The Mile High Asian Food Week team hosts this talk and tasting event about food nostalgia and Lunar New Year family traditions. At this community event, chefs from Sắp Sửa, Sweet Rice Flour, and Die Die Must Try will take you on a culinary journey where you can experience and taste nostalgic foods inspired by family, love, and the Lunar New Year. Small bites are included in this Q&A style conversation that includes braised pork belly and fish sauce caramel over rice, Jade Flour Mochi, and bubble tea.

Wednesday, January 24th

The Velvet Cellar Grand Opening @ The Velvet Cellar

The Velvet Cellar is welcoming the community to an evening of delicious food, artisan cocktails, wine, and celebration right in the heart of LoDo from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The first 100 guests receive a complimentary welcome cocktail and an amuse-bouche, and happy hour will be extended all night long. Chef Jon Simoneau has developed a menu that features a range of shareable contemporary American dishes

Tea Blends for Winter Wellness @ Center for Colorado Women’s History

The Center for Colorado Women’s History hosts a special tea-centered program in collaboration with Convivio Café, a women-owned Guatemalan-inspired bilingual café located in Northside Denver. Café owners Kristin and Vivi are giving a presentation featuring herbal blends used for menstrual care, self-nourishment, and combating winter blues. You’ll have a chance to sample and sip tea blends featured in the presentation alongside antojitos (snacks) made in-house at Convivio Café. For more details, go here.
