As Denver braces for a frosty embrace, McGregor Square shifts gears. What’s usually a buzzing urban plaza now sports a coat of ice—quite literally. The centerpiece? An ice-skating rink where For those less inclined to lace up, there’s people-watching with a side of Carmine’s fare.

As Denver welcomes its winter wardrobe, McGregor Square follows suit. The buzzing urban plaza transforms into a scene straight out of a snow globe, complete with an ice-skating rink where grace meets gusto.  Off the ice, Carmine’s offers a cozy vantage point for those who prefer to observe with a fork in hand.

Standing tall at 33 feet, McGregor Square’s Christmas tree is less of a show-off and more of a show-stopper. lighting up the plaza from one side while the massive outdoor screen takes on the other.

And let’s not forget the Sleigh Bar at Milepost Zero. This holiday season, it’s a wintery wonderland of twinkling lights, festive libations (the Merry & Bright is a toast-worthy choice), and s’mores. They’re not just for summer. Enjoy this campfire classic rinkside for a treat that’s as fun as the view.

Tying it all together is a calendar packed with events worthy of braving the elements for. 

December’s DJ nights at McGregor Square (Dec. 8, 15, 22, 23) blend festive tunes with frosty vibes. It’s a perfect excuse to do your holiday best and dance the night away.

Expect a red-suited guest at Milepost Zero (Dec. 9, 10, 16, 17, 23). It’s your shot for a chat and a snap with Santa himself.

The Sleigh Bar kicks the Monday blues with Happy Hour—a weekly treat featuring discounts on all holiday cocktails.
