The excitement is building as Dallas prepares to take center stage for the World Cup, with matches set to kick off at Dallas Stadium this summer.

For a city that thrives on lively patios, cold drinks and game-day energy, Dallas was made for a moment like this. While you’ll likely find World Cup matches playing at bars and restaurants across town, only a handful are pulling out all the stops to create a truly unforgettable fan experience.

FIFA Fan Festival

Fair Park is being transformed into a one million acre park where World Cup fans can come to celebrate matches from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19. Like the State Fair of Texas, the FIFA Fan Festival will be a walkable village for fans with giant viewing areas, mini pitches, sponsor zones, and food courts. Texas Live!’s slogan is “the only place better than the stadium,” and for World Cup fans in Dallas, they’re backing it up. The Arlington entertainment hub is going all out with watch parties for all nine matches taking place at Dallas Stadium this summer, including the opening match between Mexico and South Africa. With TVs throughout the building and a massive 100-foot screen at the center of it all, you won’t miss a single moment. The Londoner

The Londoner has long been a prime spot for watching soccer in Dallas. It has three locations in Dallas, Addison, and Colleyville, but the Addison outpost is especially favored for its high-energy atmosphere on game days. Expect World Cup match days to fill the pub, with fans spilling out onto the patio, which is fitted with large TVs for viewing. If you want to feel like you got tickets to the World Cup without actually having them, watch a match at the Cosm. The sports bar will show matches on a large, shared reality dome that will truly bring the World Cup to life. Select matches will be shown all summer—with some, like Mexico vs. South Africa on opening night, are already sold out. Frankie’s Downtown

The City of Dallas is transforming Downtown into a hub for the World Cup, and Frankie’s Downtown will be in the center of all the action. This bi-level sports bar is beloved for its happy hour specials, wings, cocktails, and bounty of TVs with their sound on that make game days feel even more exciting. Ojos Locos Sports Cantina

Ojos Locos Sports Cantina is a Dallas-born sports bar that was created for Latino soccer fans to come together for big games. There are four locations across DFW, and they’re all ready to host guests for World Cup matches. It’s known for making the “balon” famous, which is a soccer ball that dispenses cerveza from a beer tower. Apart from that, they’ll have nearly 10 different food and beverage specials available each day that will be a beacon for World Cup fans. This indoor-outdoor pub is fully decorated for soccer fans, and it will be showing every single World Cup match through the summer. All of the TVs, inside and out, will be playing live game audios with die hard soccer fans rushing in to support their teams. The patio at Bar W will be one of the best spots to watch the World Cup in Uptown Dallas this summer. They keep things simple with a straightforward food menu of appetizers, salads, flatbreads, and sandwiches, and beverage choices including cocktails, beers on draft, canned options, and N/A options . There is a massive shared screen outside that guests direct their attention to, but if you can’t find a spot, there are ample TVs inside too—along with arcade games, a photobooth, and pool tables. Toca Social

Toca Social is an interactive soccer gaming and dining experience that is sure to be a hotspot for World Cup fans in Dallas this summer. Peticolas Brewing Co.

Owner Michael Peticolas is going all out for the World Cup at his brewery, and his plans have been in the making for years. He made three special beers specifically for the World Cup: Melee in the USA, TKO in Mexico, and a special collaboration with ULTRA Nippon that has yet to be announced. The taproom has been transformed into a full photography exhibition featuring photographs from world famous sports photographer Marcelo Guelber Goes, and the brewing company is an official partner for ULTRA Nippon, the official organization for Japanese soccer fans. 1301 Pace St., Dallas, peticolasbrewing.com
