Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and Dallas-Fort Worth is in for a wickedly good time. Across the Metroplex, bars, restaurants, entertainment districts, and entire cities are getting into the spirit with everything from haunted tours and over-the-top Halloween pop-ups to boo-zy menus, costume contests, wine walks, and family-friendly festivities. There are even singles mixers for those hoping to find their boo.

Whether you’re looking to sip spooky cocktails, dance until the witching hour, wander among the undead, or celebrate with the kids in tow, there’s something for every kind of Halloween reveler. From the eerie and enchanting to the delightfully bizarre, here are some of the best ways to celebrate the spooky season in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Happy Hallo-Wine Cedar Springs Wine Walk

On Thursday, October 8, from 6 to 9 p.m., the ghouls, gays, and goblins are gathering for a horrifically delicious night of wine sipping. The 30-plus-stop Cedar Springs Wine Walk includes a Hallo-Wine-themed wine glass for $20 with proceeds benefitting the gayborhood. An RNB Basement Halloween Party

RNB Basement Party is getting the Halloween party started. On Thursday, October 8, DJs Spadus, Imon, and Positive P will kick off the season at Curfew Bar from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The 21-and-over party features the third annual costume contest. First place takes home a cash prize, while second- and third-place will also leave with prizes. Entrance is free with three canned goods benefitting the Community Food Bank. Dallas’ favorite open mic spot is going scaryoke for Halloween. Opening Bell Coffee is hosting the first annual Scaryoke Party on Saturday, October 10, from 7 to 10 p.m.. On Friday, October 16, from 6 to 10 p.m., Bella and Brawn is hosting the Boos and Booze Haunted Walk in Bishop Arts. The $35 ticket includes a Boos and Booze tasting glass, wine samples at participating businesses, a map and passport, displays and animatronics throughout the district, and a planned “Thriller” performance. The dead walk on Saturday, October 17, for the fifth annual West End Zombie Crawl. Dallas Halloween Block Party 

The Dallas Halloween Block Party is one of the biggest in the nation. The massive free block party takes over Cedar Springs Road on Saturday, October 24, at 7 p.m. The event spans five venues, including The Rose Room and Sue Ellen’s. Those 18 and older can get through the gates, while those 21 and over can sip. Trunk or Treat with Macaroni Kid at The Stix Icehouse

McKinney newsletter Macaroni Kid is teaming up with The Stix Icehouse for a free Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring the entire family for costumes, candy, and prizes from local businesses across the 14-acre property. Scarborough Renaissance Festival’s grounds transform into the spellbinding world of The Three Sisters of the Hollow for an immersive fall festival filled with live entertainment, characters, artisan makers, and seasonal treats. Witches’ Brew Train

All aboard the Witches’ Brew Train. Grapevine Vintage Railroad hosts a chilling good time for two nights only. Running October 30 and 31, the two-hour round trip is a 21-and-over boos-y train ride. Boarding begins at 7:10 p.m, with departure at 7:40 p.m. The experience includes two cups of Texas craft brew, a commemorative cup, live entertainment, appetizers and desserts, plus a stop at Grapevine’s Haunted Depot. Fort Worth speakeasy, Thompson’s Bookstore, is brewing up mischief on Hell’s Half Acre. The night goes dark Friday, October 30, for free scary movie screenings in the event center all night long. Rocky Horror Sing-Along Drag Show at Punch Line Irving

Madness takes its toll at Punch Line Comedy Club. The Hallowine Trail 2026 takes place Saturday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The six-stop winery trail along Historic Main Street includes a commemorative wine glass for the stroll, a three-pour flight, and a food item at each stop.
