New York-based Maman continues to build its presence in DFW with a fourth location in East Dallas’s Casa Linda neighborhood, which debuted on Thursday, October 15. The former Schlotsky’s sandwich shop has been completely remodeled into a chic, French-inspired haven for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy flaky croissants, gooey cinnamon rolls, a robust espresso and tea menu, plus savory items to get you through lunch, including quiches, sandwiches, salads, and soups. Several menu items feature collabs with Martha Stewart, a newly launched seasonal fall menu, and three Dallas exclusive items: the Magnolia Sweet Tea Fizz, a Lone Star Cinnamon Bun, and a Salted Caramel Pecan Pie Roll.

Get ready for El Camino Royale, a new Tex-Mex joint on the Katy Trail from Nik and Greg Katz, founders of Katz Bros. Hospitality (Clifton Club, Beverley’s, Green Pointe Seafood & Oyster Bar, Claremont Neighborhood Grill). The location will debut in 2027 at 3333 Knox Street and feature a patio overlooking (and connected to) the trail. The casual, approachable menu will include staples such as tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, and margaritas perfect for sipping in the sunshine while watching the parade of runners, joggers, cyclists, and people walking their dogs.

Head to Prince St. Pizza on Wednesday, October 21 to celebrate National Pizza Month (and the NYC chain’s 21 restaurants) with $1 Original Prince slices, the simple cheese-and-red-sauce favorite. Rewards members can also enter a drawing for the chance to win free slices for a year. The Dallas location will have 25 winners, so you have a decent chance of satisfying your pizza cravings for many weeks to come.

Chicago-born Maple & Ash takes over the kitchen at Monarch on the 49th floor of The National for a special one-week tasting menu experience from Thursday, October 22 through Wednesday, October 28. Both restaurants are led by chef Danny Grant, so the collab makes perfect sense. For $225 (plus $160 for an optional wine pairing), guests can experience Maple & Ash’s signature IDGAF (I Don’t Give A F***) Tasting Menu. The multi-course, shareable spread includes steaks, pastas, sides, and desserts, and the entire table must participate. Reservations are available here.

On Friday, October 23, Boots & Booze celebrates its grand opening at 3014 Main Sreet in Deep Ellum, across from Terry Black’s. The venue’s first phase features The Window, a walk-up-and-order option for coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as The Courtyard, a dog-friendly outdoor bar space that will double as a hub for live music and sports viewing. The menu focuses on comfort foods, including Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese, Hot Honey Chicken French Toast, and frozen Old Fashioneds among the expected favorites. The venue will eventually debut a full-service component, Boots & Booze Scratch Kitchen, helmed by José Luis Rodriguez Perez, who garnered much praise for his previous venture, Mixtitos Kitchen. Boots & Booze also features a Shotgun Wedding Chapel, a small event space available for actual weddings, divorce parties, and other celebrations.

Much like Electric Shuffle updated shuffleboard to a high-tech social gathering, Flight Club has taken a similar approach to darts, the British pub staple. The first DFW location (and second in Texas) debuts on Friday, October 23, at Village on the Parkway in Addison. In addition to automatic scoring of multiplayer darts games for up to 12 players at all skill levels, the concept features craft cocktails (many customizable as alcohol-free options) and chef-driven food items, including lobster elote dip, mini poke tacos, and roasted squash flatbread.

The Henry expands to Plano’s Legacy West on Saturday, October 24. The second DFW location builds on the popularity of the Fox Restaurant Group’s Uptown spot. The near-13,000-square-foot Plano restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor dining for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and cocktails. The concept aims for a neighborhood vibe while delivering an elevated selection of sushi, steaks, and seafood, alongside a hefty cocktail and espresso program.

On Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 11 p.m., Toyota Music Factory hosts the Irving Taco Festival. The International Margarita Organization presents the event, so expect plenty of tequila-focused beverages and street tacos for purchase, plus artisan vendors, live music, and games. Entry to the festival is free with RSVP, or upgrade to VIP for $24, which includes two complimentary drinks, a commemorative glass, a private VIP bar, and a dedicated VIP entrance. Tickets include entry into an end-of-event drawing at 10 p.m. for a trip to Mexico, with additional chances available for $7.

The ambitious, immersive, over-the-top, tasting-menu restaurant, Punk Noir, abruptly closed for business last week. It was a bold experiment, but perhaps too expensive even for one of Dallas’s priciest dining districts. A few weeks ago, the restaurant tried a condensed, lower-cost $135 tasting menu (compared to the regular $295 per person option), but apparently that wasn’t enough to lure in the number of diners needed to keep the lights on.

Texas country musician Pat Green returns to headline the 15th Oktoberfest Dallas celebration on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Flagpole Hill in East Dallas. Drew Cooper and George Dunham & The Bird Dogs round out the music lineup, which provides the soundtrack to a full day of food and beer, a vendor marketplace, and traditional Oktoberfest rituals, including keg tapping and stein-holding contests. Proceeds fund student scholarships, support the Dallas Police and Fire Departments, and provide grants to various local nonprofit organizations.

il Bracco has launched a seasonal menu that includes burrata salad with figs, grapes, and walnuts; seared wild mushrooms with garlic and thyme; and a classic Cioppino fisherman’s stew with crab, sea bass, shrimp, clams, and scallops in a saffron-accented tomato broth. The Texas-based restaurant has ranked as the most-booked restaurant on OpenTable in Dallas several times, so this new menu is a great excuse to visit if you’ve never been.

Flock & Fresh now has some heat on its menu with both a spicy chicken sandwich and spicy chicken tenders added to the menu. The new spicy chicken sammie features crispy chicken coated in chili oil, a proprietary seasoning made with habanero peppers, plus Thai Chili Flock Spread and chopped jalapeños on a brioche bun. The tenders can be paired with one of the restaurant’s many incredible dipping sauces, including Japanese ranch, curry ranch, and sweet Korean.

The Dirdie Birdie in Fort Worth has rolled out a new brunch, available Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. The mini golf hangout now has $5 draft beers, $6 wines, $7 classic margaritas, and $8 frozens to accompany $8 queso blanco and chips, which can be upgraded to include braised pork or short rib for an additional $4.

Get a jump on Thanksgiving flavors at Hash Kitchen in Fort Worth. The brunch-focused restaurant has launched a new Hash Holidays brunch menu. That translates to mashups like the Carved Turkey & Stuffing Waffle, made with hand-carved turkey, fried eggs, gravy, and crispy onions. Pumpkin pancakes, carved turkey hash, and pumpkin spice and peppermint mocha espresso martinis round out the options.

It may seem a bit early to start planning holiday events, but the famous Holiday Tea service at The Adolphus in Downtown Dallas typically sells out fast. Book a table via Resy for daily seatings from Wednesday, November 4 through Sunday, January 10. Traditional service features lavish holiday decor, seasonal tunes, and three courses of sweets and savories paired with two tea selections and a glass of champagne (or a non-alcoholic alternative).
