Clear your calendars, hire babysitters, or bribe your in-laws because on August 24, the battle lines will be drawn and the air will be heavy with the scent of warfare—and fried chicken. Chicken Fight Festival, the brainchild of the fiendishly creative minds at DiningOut Events, is strutting back into town. Think of it as the culinary version of WrestleMania but with less spandex and more seasoning.

Denver, it’s time to mark your culinary calendars. Chicken Fight Fest, our city’s revered showdown of all things fowl, returns to Elitch Gardens for another year on August 24, and tickets go on sale today, June 13. Strap on your proverbial bibs and ready your taste buds for the most savory swan song of the summer.

For the uninitiated, Chicken Fight Fest is an adults-only sensory shindig commandeering the legendary Elitch Gardens amusement park. This isn’t just a festival; it’s a feast of fried chicken, wings, chicken tacos, and sandwiches. You’ll get unlimited tastes dished out by over 45 of the city’s top restaurants competing for your vote. The epic culinary contest, produced by DiningOut Events, transforms the park into a gastronomic battleground.

As the sun sets, this private party kicks into full gear. What’s a chicken feast without a drink in your hand? Your ticket isn’t just a pass to poultry paradise; it’s also an all-access wristband to a massive craft cocktail competition. Denver’s most elite bartenders will be mixing up a storm, featuring over 40 spirits from acclaimed brands like 21 Seeds, Boulder Spirits, Buffalo Trace, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, and more. Add to this ice-cold beer flowing like the Platte River, a generous helping of live country, bluegrass, and blues music on five stages, and a hearty side amusement rides to take you for a whirl.

General Admission starts at $109, offering entry, unlimited chicken and cocktail tastings, voting rights for the People’s Choice award, and of course, access to all the live music and amusement park rides. If you’re in the mood to elevate your experience, consider the First Taste or VIP options, which include early entry and additional perks like access to the Dessert Disco and VIP Lounge Areas. Each ticket contributes towards the Colorado Restaurant Foundation, a local non-profit nurturing our future hospitality heroes.

The event, produced by DiningOut Events, promises a taste of our city’s incredible restaurant scene.  When you take the plunge into Chicken Fight Fest 2023, you’re not just buying a ticket to one of Denver’s grandest culinary fiestas. You’re stepping into a tradition of excellence upheld by DiningOut, which has been amplifying the local food scene since 1998.

We kicked off the summer festival season on May 25 at RARE. The smell of sizzling steaks from the Denver Steak Championship at Sculpture Park is still in the air, and the echoes of cheers from Garnish Games at Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station linger. What’s up next? Top Taco is a mouth-watering rendezvous going down on July 13 at Westminster City Park. But be warned: if you’re not already clutching a ticket, you might be playing a risky game of culinary roulette. The event is one month away, and tickets will sell out. Consider this your warning: get your tickets while the getting is still good.

Chicken Fight Fest is the grand finale of DiningOut’s summer event season—the moment when the proverbial (and literal) chicken comes home to roost. Chicken Fight Fest 2023 takes over Elitch Gardens for an adults-only night of gastronomic revelry on August 24. Don’t miss this chance to secure your place at Denver’s most raucous and tasty summer celebration. With Chicken Fight Fest, we’re not just serving up a plate of good food—we’re serving a platter of good times. It’s a hen party like no other, where Denver gets to ruffle its feathers before summer takes its final bow. Be a part of it.
