Celebrate the Love of Dumplings with Mile High Asian Food Week

Dek goes here…

Food and culture go hand in hand, and Mile High Asian Food Week in Denver is the perfect way to honor both. Presented by Asian Avenue Magazine and created by the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) food and beverage industry and community, this inaugural event is a five-day celebration of the AAPI food scene in Colorado.

Dumplings, a staple of Asian cuisine, are just one of the many delicious treats you can enjoy during this week-long celebration. And if you’re looking for some unique and tasty options, make sure to check out Glo Noodle House and their creative twists on traditional Asian dishes, or head over to Esmé’s Noodles & Coffee for a fusion of Asian and Western flavors.

And it’s not just about the food, it’s also about the community. Joanne Liu, the co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit Asian Girls Ignite, is one of the driving forces behind the event, which takes place from February 22–26. Liu grew up in Boston, where she saw her parents work tirelessly at their family restaurant, and she recognizes the role food plays in Asian culture, symbolizing family and expressing love and care. “In many Asian cultures, food is our love language,” Liu says. “We have so many AAPI food and beverage chefs and business owners here in Colorado. Mile High Asian Food Week is our chance to recognize and celebrate this growing culture.”

At Mile High Asian Food Week, diners can experience a range of AAPI cuisines and receive insider perks, such as special discounts, secret menu items, and specialty menus at more than 20 participating spots, including Meta Asian Kitchen, Osaka Ramen, Yuan Wonton, Ace Eat Serve, Pokeworks, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just looking to try something new, there’s something for everyone on the menu.

Mile High Asian Food Week is a celebration of culture, community, and the AAPI food scene in Colorado. Although AAPI residents make up only 4% of the state’s population, they play a significant role in shaping the state’s cultural landscape. Liu says, “Mile High Asian Food Week is just one way to showcase who we are and what we contribute to this state.”

If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine or just looking to try something new, make sure to check out this inaugural event and support your local AAPI businesses. To see the full list of participating vendors, learn more about the event, or register as a participating vendor, visit milehighafw.com.
