This weekend, Bun B is bringing Trill Burgers to one of Houston’s busiest thoroughfares. Trill Burgers will open its fourth Houston-area restaurant at 7616 Westheimer Road on Friday, September 25, marking the latest expansion for the homegrown burger brand co-founded by the Houston rap legend.
Located just west of the Galleria, the new restaurant will also introduce something its other locations don’t have: a late-night drive-thru.
The Westheimer restaurant will initially operate from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Beginning in October, the drive-thru will stay open until 3 a.m. Friday through Sunday, giving late-night diners another option for smashed patties and Trill Fries.
The 3,100-square-foot restaurant seats 70 and features a wraparound drive-thru. Trill Burgers’ familiar black-and-yellow color scheme makes the building hard to miss. Inside, the Houston references continue with a custom “Be Someone Trill” mural inspired by the “Be Someone” graffiti that has long appeared on the railroad bridge over I-45 near Downtown.
“Every time we open a new location of Trill Burgers, it’s such an incredible feeling for our entire team,” Bun B said in a statement. “Having a location on another iconic Houston road is truly surreal. We can’t wait to welcome y’all to Westheimer.”
The restaurant will serve the same streamlined menu that helped turn Trill Burgers from a buzzy pop-up into a growing Houston brand. At the center is the OG Burger, made with two smashed all-beef patties, caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles, and Trill Sauce on a potato roll.
For bigger appetites, there’s the three-patty Triple OG, while the Lil G pares things down to a single patty for kids. Plant-based versions of each are available, along with seasoned Trill Fries.
The beverage lineup goes beyond fountain drinks with Trill Lemonade in Classic, Strawberry, Blue Wave, and Desert Pear flavors, plus Arnold Palmers and shakes in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.
The Westheimer opening continues a relatively rapid brick-and-mortar expansion for a concept that began as a pop-up in 2021. Bun B founded Trill Burgers with restaurateur Andy Nguyen and Nick Scurfield, taking the concept on the road to events including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and Coachella before establishing a permanent home.
The burger earned national attention in 2022 when “Good Morning America” named it America’s best burger. Trill Burgers followed that momentum by opening its first permanent restaurant at Shepherd Drive and Richmond Avenue in Montrose in 2023.
A Spring location arrived in April 2025, followed by Missouri City that December. The brand also operates a campus location at Rice University and maintains a major presence at Houston sporting events and the Rodeo.
Now, Trill Burgers is planting its flag on Westheimer, where its location near the Galleria puts it along one of Houston’s most heavily traveled dining corridors. And once those 3 a.m. drive-thru hours kick in, the OG Burger may find an entirely new audience: Houstonians heading home after a very late night.
