Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza opened its third Georgia location earlier this month at Inman Quarter, bringing the Miami-born, Michelin-recognized concept founded by Chef Renato Viola to the neighborhood. The menu features star-shaped pizzas like the ricotta-filled Star Luca and the Coffee Paolo with tomato sauce, gorgonzola, honey, and coffee, alongside calzones, salads, burrata with rosemary focaccia, and desserts.
Chef Demetrius Brown and business partner Brandon Blanchard opened Heritage in Atlanta’s Summerhill neighborhood on September 10, bringing Brown’s Heritage Supper Club concept to a brick-and-mortar space exploring African, Caribbean, and Afro-American cuisine. The beverage program comes from Keyatta Mincey, a Wine Enthusiast Future 40 honoree, built around Black-owned, BIPOC-owned, women-owned, and local producers tied to the African diaspora and American South. The space holds a 14-seat lounge with a full bar and a 34-seat dining room framed by an open kitchen and chef’s counter.
Oak Steakhouse, a modern steakhouse from Indigo Road Hospitality Group, opens in Downtown Athens on Wednesday, September 16, occupying a historic building that has served as a church, hotel and bank over the decades. The menu features Certified Angus Beef Prime cuts, fresh seafood and seasonally inspired dishes paired with New World and Old World wines and a bourbon collection, while the building’s original vault has been converted into a private dining room. Oak is open for dinner seven nights a week, with brunch service on Saturdays.
Bon Ton, the Midtown Viet-Cajun spot known for its neon-lit space and over-proof cocktails, is closing after nine years, with its last day set for Wednesday, September 30. The team is marking the closure with a month-long send-off before the doors shut for good.

Madre Selva hosts a one-night Latin American wine dinner pop-up on Thursday, September 17, pairing Under Pressure Wine Bar co-founder Juan Fernando Cortés‘s South American wine selections with a four-course menu from Madre Selva executive chef Mayra Dominguez, drawn from her Peruvian heritage. Held in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the single 6:30 p.m. seating is limited to 18 guests and doubles as an early look at Under Pressure ahead of its North Buckhead opening later this year. Tickets are $125 per guest, plus tax and gratuity, and available here or on OpenTable.
Chef Arnaldo Castillo is teaming up with Mikasa Omakase‘s chef Jorom Paler for a one-night Nikkei Night at Tio Lucho’s on Thursday, September 17, exploring the Japanese influence on Peruvian cooking. The seven-course dinner runs 7 to 9 p.m. and moves from tuna served three ways (kinilaw, tataki, nigiri) to beef sofrito gyoza and arroz con pato, finishing with picarones and pandan ice cream, paired with three sakes. Kyma is bringing back its Champagne Social on Thursday, September 17, following the spring event’s popularity. Guests can sip Champagne alongside Kyma favorites like octopus, lamb pies, zucchini fritters, and spanakopita, prepared by Culinary Director chef Pano I. Karatassos. Dhaba BBQ is hosting a pop-up at Stout Brothers in Smyrna on September 19, a collaboration with Highpour running from noon until sell out. The menu features pulled butter chicken sandos, tikka pulled pork sandos, and Nihari beef sliders, alongside masala mai tais.
Mirae hosts a Sake Dinner & Pairing Experience on Wednesday, September 23, in collaboration with Brookhaven Wines and Jenny O’Donnell of New York Mutual Trading. The evening opens with a 6 p.m. reception and fried bao with caviar course, then moves into a seated five-course dinner at 7 p.m. pairing dishes like sea bass with Galangal purée and Peking duck with sakes such as Tengumai Yamahai and Izumibashi “Black Dragonfly” Kimoto Junmai, and closes with an 8:30 p.m. Sake Salon where bottles are available for purchase. La Semilla has launched its first regular Sunday brunch service, running 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with walk-ins welcome, alongside reservations on Resy. The vegan restaurant’s menu includes masa pancakes, breakfast sopes, the El Jefe brunch burrito with skillet potatoes and tofu scramble, and chilaquiles rojos, paired with cocktails like the Maria Verde with green chile vodka and salsa verde.
Lazy Betty has added an Alaskan Halibut dish drawing on chef Ron Hsu‘s Chinese background, served with daikon panaché, shiitake bouillon, and egg yolk fudge made from duck eggs sourced from the Duckery of Ducktown in Georgia. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
American Dive and Peachtree Sporting Club, both at 207 Peachtree, have launched daily $12.99 lunch specials from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. American Dive’s Southern BBQ Express includes a chopped brisket or pulled pork sandwich with chips, pickle, and a non-alcoholic beverage, while Peachtree Sporting Club offers wings and fries, Dirty Bird chicken sliders, or a grilled chicken Caesar wrap, each with a drink.
Boone’s, overlooking the Bobby Jones Golf Course in Buckhead, has launched a new fall menu from executive chef Laura Orellana. Highlights include grilled artichokes with confit artichokes, mint aioli, and feta; a salmon poke bowl with the chef’s choice of grains; braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and honey-glazed carrots; rigatoni alla vodka with shaved Grana; and a s’mores and espresso dessert with chocolate ganache and torched Swiss meringue. Emmy Squared Pizza is launching a new menu at the end of the month, with additions like Mimi Cheng’s Deluxe Dumpling Salad, fried artichokes, Sichuan cucumbers, and Caprese bao. New pizzas include the Arenstein with vodka sauce, pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, and honey, and the Artizoé with chopped artichoke hearts, ricotta, crispy artichoke chips, and yuzu sesame oil, alongside a new banana pudding for dessert.
Minero at Ponce City Market runs happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., with additional daily specials Monday through Thursday: $2 off house margaritas on Monday, $2 off the taco combo on Tuesday, $10 Wing Wednesdays, and all-day happy hour on Thursday.
