Now that spring is in full swing in Dallas, it’s time to get out and start mingling—whether that means revisiting favorite bites and drinks or discovering something entirely new. With the season comes a packed lineup of food festivals across the metroplex, offering the perfect excuse to let winter indulgence linger just a little longer.

Toast to North Texas wineries, caffeinate your way through the city’s top coffee roasters, or dine alongside some of Dallas’ most celebrated chefs at a standout festival marking its second anniversary this year.

These are the best spring food festivals in Dallas to savor, sip, and indulge.

Taste! At The Star

Taste! At The Star returns on Friday, April 17, bringing together more than 20 of the metroplex’s top chefs and restaurants for a culinary experience benefiting the North Texas Food Bank. Participating spots include Nick & Sam’s, Uchiko, Mexican Sugar, Haywire, Eddie V’s, and more, with proceeds helping provide hundreds of meals to children facing hunger. General admission tickets are available for $250 per person. Ford Center (The Star), 9 Cowboys Way, Frisco

On Saturday, April 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m, Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards set the stage for the annual Syndicate Smokedown & Music Festival, an outdoor event featuring pitmasters of all levels competing for a $20,000 prize. Winners are crowned across categories including spare ribs, chicken, brisket, grand champion, and reserve champion. While professional judges handle the scoring, ticket holders enjoy unlimited bites from more than a dozen barbecue vendors. This year’s live music lineup features Whiskey Myers, Amanda Shires, and more. General admission tickets start at $134. Fort Worth Stockyards Station, 140 E. Exchange Ave., Fort Worth

One of the newest events on the calendar, the 2nd Annual Dallas Coffee Festival is a must for caffeine enthusiasts. Top roasters from across the metroplex—including Eiland Coffee Roasters, Ascension, Avoca, and Cultivar Coffee Roasting Co.—will gather from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 at Gilley’s, offering samples of more than 60 coffees under one roof. Guests can also browse local vendors, enjoy live music, and grab bites from a variety of food exhibitors. Tickets start at $31 and early bird pricing is available. Texas Pie Fest

Texas Pie Fest is back on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for its 8th year at Tate Farms in Rockwall. The festival is a celebration of all things pie, and will feature a pie-baking contest, a pie-eating contest, and a pie fight with whipped cream pies. Entry to the pie baking contest is $10, and entry into the pie eating contest is $5. Local vendors and food trucks will also be on-site. Eataly Pizza Fest

Eataly’s Pizza Fest is back for its second year on Sunday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. celebrating the dough, sauce, and cheese from over 25 different DFW pizzerias. In addition to the pizza vendors, the event will feature 30+ beverage stations, live entertainment, pizza-making demonstrations, workshops and a special celebrity guest. Texas Street Food Festival 

The world-famous Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth will be taken over by street food on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 8 p.m. during the 4th annual Texas Street Food Festival. Billy Bob’s will host 70+ vendors, including more than 40 restaurants and food trucks, with food options all priced at $10 or less. General admission tickets are $11.99. Country music. Barbeque. Beer. The Lonestar Smokeout Festival is back Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 for another year at AT&T Stadium. Local favorites like Panther City BBQ and Hurtado will be there, joined by pitmasters from different states. Live country music from artists like Shaboozy, Jenna Davis and Riley Green will serve as the playlist for the weekend. Attendees may choose from three different ticket tiers, with general admission tickets starting at $69 for one-day entry. It’ll be a tasty weekend in Arlington. SAVOR

Food, drink, golf, and music are coming together at the 2nd Annual SAVOR festival this spring. The event takes place over four days from Thursday, April 30 to Sunday, May 3, with each day having a specific theme and roster of chefs. Thursday is Masters of Taste; Friday is the Fork & Fire Reception; Saturday is the SAVOR Grand Tasting and Par 3 Golf Challenge; and Sunday is Margaritas & Mariachis. Dallas Margarita Festival 

Thousands of margarita lovers are gathering at the Village on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 6 p.m. to taste and decide who has the best marg in Dallas. Tickets include 10, 3.5-ounce drink samples from Dallas’ top restaurants and bars. Among the buzz, there will be a live DJ, food vendors, a beer garden, and trip giveaway. RARE Steak Championship

DiningOut’s RARE Steak Championship returns to Levy Plaza in Irving on Thursday, May 9, bringing one of the city’s most anticipated culinary competitions back into the spotlight. More than 25 of Dallas’ top steakhouses and restaurants will go head-to-head for steak supremacy, serving everything from perfectly executed classic cuts to bold, creative interpretations. Guests can expect an indulgent evening of unlimited steak tastings, signature cocktails, and live entertainment, all set within a high-energy, immersive atmosphere. Drink North Texas Wine Festival 

North Texas Wine is one of the most rapidly growing wine regions for fine wine, and this festival is showcasing it all on Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. A dozen North Texas wineries will be offering tastings, alongside local food and shopping vendors. Each ticket gives attendees access to 40+ wines and two, 3-4 ounce tastings per winery. Enjoy it all among the largest collection of planes in North Texas and live jazz music. General admission tickets are $28. Frontiers of Flight Museum, 6911 Lemmon Ave.
