It’s the most wonderful time of the year for tasty holiday treats around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. North Texas is jam-packed with award-winning bakeries, artisanal cookie shops, and some of the country’s best pies, but the month of December brings new seasonal desserts that will disappear come 2026.

Place your orders at for yule logs, sufganyiot, and pastries you never even knew you wanted, including a cake in the shape and colors of a standing Christmas tree and reindeer poop emoji macarons.

Here are 10 local shops baking up holiday goodness this season.

Whether you prefer to eat vegan, Paleo, or gluten-free, or have allergies or other dietary restrictions, Unrefined has plenty of tasty treats for you. During the holidays, don’t miss out on the fresh, moist gingerbread. It’s free of just about every allergen, including soy, gluten, dairy, and nuts, and if you’re planning to have vegans at your table Christmas morning, you can order the egg-free version. Another standout is the Bonnie & Pie’d: a graham cracker crust cradling coffee-and-chocolate custard and homemade toffee sauce. Multiple locations, emporiumpies.com/
