A sophisticated Dallas neighborhood that encompasses Knox Street and Henderson Ave, stretching from the Katy Trail to Greenville, Knox-Henderson is home to some of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants, including a few recommended by the Michelin guide. While this list isn’t exhaustive, if you find yourself walking the Katy Trail or shopping on Knox Street, these 10 restaurants offer a wide range of great dinner options.

Whether you’re craving Italian, Tex-Mex, seafood, or steak, you’ll have a great time eating your way through Knox-Henderson.

Greenpoint Seafood and Oyster Bar

In late 2023, the brothers who own Beverley’s opened this seafood spot to instant acclaim. Classy and opulent, with rich woods, dark booths, and gleaming gold accents, Greenpoint sets the mood for martinis and a dozen oysters—or plates like Maine lobster rigatoni and the grilled seafood royale, a decadent stew of lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, bacon-wrapped scallops, and savory green curry coconut rice. 3219 Knox St. Ste. #100, Dallas, greenpointdallas.com

Some regulars at this elegant French-American fusion restaurant return exclusively for the signature Cajun chicken. Perfectly seasoned to complement the beurre blanc, it’s topped with diced tomato and served with crispy fries and greens. From the white linen tablecloths to the light-filled space, the ambiance is classic and conjures a little jaunt to Europe. 4514 Travis St. Unit 124, Dallas, lebilboquetdallas.com

Don’t miss the twice-baked cheese soufflé at this chic, Michelin-recommended French bistro. It’s both sturdy and creamy enough to eat alone or spread on warm bread. From there, try French classics like filet au poivre with green peppercorn sauce and pomme frites or mussels marinières. 3230 Knox St. #140, Dallas, knoxbistro.com

Beverley’s

In this chichi American bistro, intricate tilework accents the wooden floors like throw rugs. Diners line the elegant bar and hunker down in cozy green booths. The crispy artichokes are truly crispy, and so are the potato latkes topped with caviar. Save room for the sticky toffee cake with Heath bar pieces. 3215 N. Fitzhugh Ave., Dallas, beverleysdallas.com

Anchor Sushi Bar

Despite its name, the Knox Street location of this lively neighborhood restaurant serves more than just sushi. Find plenty of nigiri, maki, and sashimi, but the menu veers off from there into global cuisine, including crispy chicken bao buns, a Thai noodle and steak salad, and blackened seabass tacos. The polished wooden bar is a nice place to sip cocktails or order a full meal, and the patio is lovely when the weather cooperates. 3130 Knox S., Dallas, anchorsushi.com

Café Madrid

Cured hams hang behind the bar in this cozy Spanish tapas restaurant, where the walls are adorned with framed posters of bull fighters and flamenco dancers. Visit Spain without the long flight by ordering all the classics, including Spanish tortilla, Manchego and spinach croquettes, and garlic shrimp. Pair those tapas with a pitcher of red or white sangria. Enjoy live flamenco dancers on the first Friday of each month. 4501 Travis St., Dallas, cafemadrid-dallas.com

Inside this opulent Michelin-recommended restaurant, you’ll find dramatic crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, tasteful pattern-mixing on the walls and banquettes, and black-and-white checkered floor tiles. The service is impeccable, the lights are dim, and the canapés, including a little lobster roll with a fennel salad, are delightful. The menu has plenty of steaks to choose from, but the homemade pastas and seafood dishes are just as worthy. 3219 Knox St. Ste. 170, Dallas, themistercharles.com

Doce Mesas

“Doce Mesas” means “Twelve Tables,” and that’s all this upscale Tex-Mex restaurant had when it opened in the ‘90s. Since then, it’s grown to three bustling outposts. The Knox-Henderson location is so popular for both dinner and weekend brunch, it forgoes a reservation system and seats diners on a first-come-first-serve basis. Grab a margarita and start with one of the best queso servings in town, made with poblano and artichoke, before indulging in tacos, fajitas, or enchiladas. 4444 McKinney Ave., Dallas, docemesasdallas.com

Gemma

A Michelin Bib Gourmand pick and recipient of numerous accolades, including a nod from the James Beard Foundation, this sophisticated bistro delights diners with its refined takes on French and Italian comfort food. Standout dishes include moules frites, filet au poivre, fresh pappardelle with braised rabbit and pancetta, and tagliatelle all’arrabbiata with spicy pork sausage.2323 N. Henderson Ave. #109, Dallas, gemmadallas.com

Taverna

The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is home to two of the seven locations of this popular Italian restaurant, and the lively one on Knox offers outdoor seating that allows for great people-watching. The menu includes a wide selection of bright salads, homemade pastas, fresh-from-the-wood-fired-oven pizzas, and hearty entrees, like sea bass poached in tomato broth with shrimp, clams, mussels, potatoes, and toasted ciabatta.  3312 Knox St., Dallas, tavernabylombardi.com
