Bun B is taking Trill Burgers into another dimension. The Houston hip-hop legend’s wildly popular smashburger brand is teaming up with Meow Wolf Houston for a limited-time collaboration that brings together two of the city’s most recognizable names in food and entertainment. And naturally, there’s a Trill burger involved.
Beginning Saturday, October 31, all four Trill Burgers locations in the Houston area will serve the Trill Wolf Burger, a new creation dreamed up specifically for the partnership. The collaboration also includes a Trill Burgers-inspired hot dog at Meow Wolf, exclusive artwork, interactive events, and a few surprises hidden inside the immersive art attraction.
The timing is fitting as Meow Wolf Houston celebrates the second anniversary of Radio Tave, its sprawling, otherworldly art experience in the Fifth Ward, which opened on Halloween in 2024. The attraction, built with contributions from dozens of Texas artists, has become a destination for Houstonians looking to explore something a little outside the ordinary.
If there’s one local restaurant brand that knows a thing or two about making an impression, it’s Trill Burgers. The new Trill Wolf Burger takes the brand’s signature smashed patties and gives them a decidedly unconventional makeover. Two crispy all-beef patties are layered with American cheese, fried onion strings, house-made jalapeño ranch, and tangy Cowboix Hevvven Dijon slaw, all tucked into a new pretzel bun.
It’s a departure from the straightforward smashburgers that helped make Trill Burgers famous, and Bun B isn’t shy about it.
“This might be our most ambitious burger to date,” Bun B said in a statement. “It’s a trippy thing to look at. And if you go into their building, you will definitely see a lot of trippy things in their immersive art exhibit. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this collaboration to life.”
The burger will be available from October 31 through November 14 at Trill Burgers’ Montrose, Spring, Missouri City, and Westheimer locations. Each will come in a specially designed combo box featuring Burger Vandal, an original illustrated character created for the collaboration by artist Nicole Guerra. The collectible packaging gives burger fans a little piece of Meow Wolf’s colorful universe to take home.
The partnership works both ways. Beginning Monday, November 9, visitors to Meow Wolf Houston can order the Trill Billy, a Trill Burgers-inspired hot dog served at Cowboix Hevvven, the quirky Texas-themed bar and restaurant tucked inside Radio Tave. The limited-time offering will be available through Wednesday, November 25, or while supplies last.
For those who haven’t ventured inside Meow Wolf’s Houston outpost, Radio Tave is set within a fictional East Texas radio station where visitors can wander through interconnected rooms, discover hidden stories, and explore installations that blur the lines between art and reality. Cowboix Hevvven, created under the direction of fifth-generation Texan artist Cole Bee Wilson, puts a surreal spin on the traditional Texas watering hole, complete with original music and larger-than-life characters.
As part of the collaboration, visitors will also be able to hunt for new Bun B Easter eggs hidden throughout the exhibition, adding another distinctly Houston touch to the experience.
The fun doesn’t stop at the food. Two Meow Wolf contributing artists will make appearances at Trill Burgers locations in November for live art events. SHOKKA will visit the Missouri City restaurant on Friday, November 6, at noon, followed by Neon Thrash at the Spring location on Sunday, November 8, at noon. Both artists will create original 3-by-4-foot canvases inspired by the partnership, and guests can participate in hands-on activities to make their own artwork to take home.
There’s also an incentive for burger fans to experience Meow Wolf firsthand. Customers who purchase the Trill Wolf Burger can scan the QR code on its custom combo box or use a promotional card provided at checkout to receive $10 off each Meow Wolf admission ticket for up to six tickets. The offer can be redeemed using the code TRILLRIDE.
For Bun B, whose Trill Burgers brand has grown from a Houston pop-up into a nationally recognized restaurant concept since launching in 2021, the partnership is about more than putting another limited-edition burger on the menu.
“Collaborating with a creative destination like Meow Wolf Houston has been an amazing experience for the Trill Burgers team,” Bun B said. “In the same way that we like to represent Houston culture when you walk in our doors, Meow Wolf does the same at their location in the heart of Fifth Ward.”
Trill Burgers has already made a name for itself well beyond Houston, earning the title of Best Burger in America on Good Morning America in 2022 and expanding to multiple locations across the city. Meow Wolf, meanwhile, has made Houston’s Fifth Ward home to one of its imaginative, large-scale art installations. Now, the two are bringing their worlds together in a way that feels distinctly Houston, where hip-hop, food, and art have long shared the spotlight. And for a few weeks this fall, getting a taste of that collaboration is as easy as ordering a burger.
