After lighting up the stage at RodeoHouston’s Black Heritage Night on Friday, March 6, Grammy Award-winning superstar Lizzo kept the celebration going with a late-night stop at Juliet Steakhouse. Fresh off her electrifying performance at NRG Stadium, the Houston native arrived with her team at the Galleria-area hotspot—discreetly tucked behind a mock movie theater entrance in the Americana retail strip—to toast the milestone evening.
The restaurant was already buzzing with spirited Friday night diners when Lizzo arrived after her sold-out rodeo performance, which drew thousands of fans to one of the most anticipated nights of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season. Black Heritage Night, a longstanding rodeo tradition, highlights the influence and contributions of Black artists across music and culture—making Lizzo’s hometown return especially meaningful for Houston fans.
Inside Juliet, the evening carried on in style. Lizzo and her team sampled dishes across the menu while enjoying the restaurant’s lively atmosphere, an element that has resulted in the steakhouse becoming a magnet for celebrities and athletes.
“Houston always shows up with so much love and energy,” said Jamie Allen, owner of Juliet Steakhouse HTX, in a press release. “It was an incredible honor to welcome Lizzo after such a powerful night at the Rodeo and to celebrate with guests who were still riding that excitement from the show.”

Festivities surrounding Houston’s iconic rodeo have brought a steady stream of high-profile visitors to the restaurant. Earlier in the week, NBA champion Draymond Green celebrated his birthday at Juliet with family and friends, gathering around a table laden with signature dishes including Korean short rib tacos, crab cakes, a blue crab and avocado stack, Alaskan king crab and freshly shucked oysters. The group also dug into the restaurant’s showstopping 36-ounce tomahawk steak, paired with indulgent sides like crab mac and cheese, candied sweet potatoes, bourbon-glazed carrots, Brussels sprouts and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes.
For Lizzo, the late-night gathering served as a celebratory hometown finale to a standout RodeoHouston performance. And as rodeo season continues to draw star power through the city, Juliet is quickly proving to be a place to keep the party going long after the final encore.
