Four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw is bringing a very different kind of heat to Houston next month—this time in the form of a rare new bourbon release

On Tuesday, June 16, the NFL Hall of Famer will step behind the bar at Permission Whiskey & Service Co. (2920 White Oak Drive) in the Heights for the first public pour of TB12, a limited 12-year-aged bourbon from Bradshaw Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Bradshaw will join the bar team behind the counter to pour the bourbon for guests and discuss the inspiration behind the release, which pays tribute to his iconic No. 12 football jersey. TB12 marks the latest addition to the Bradshaw Bourbon lineup, which Bradshaw launched alongside his son-in-law, chef Noah Hester.

While Bradshaw remains best known as the legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback who led the team to four Super Bowl championships, the longtime broadcaster, actor, and entrepreneur has also spent the past several years building his namesake bourbon brand. Founded in 2020, Bradshaw Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has expanded from its original small-batch release into a growing portfolio that now includes six-year and 12-year-aged expressions. The bourbons are crafted from hand-selected barrels and designed to highlight notes of vanilla, toffee, spice, and oak.

The brand has earned multiple medals at international spirits competitions, along with a 91-point rating from Wine Enthusiast. TB12 represents the most exclusive addition to the lineup so far, bottled at hazmat proof—an industry term used for spirits exceeding 140 proof.

The whiskey was aged for 12 years in charred American oak barrels selected by Bradshaw and bottled in Kentucky by Bluegrass Distillers. Only a limited number of barrels were produced for the release, with most earmarked for private buyers. Permission was selected as the first, and currently only bar, carrying the release, giving bourbon enthusiasts a rare opportunity to sample the whiskey in an on-premise setting.

Since opening in 2020, the Heights cocktail lounge has built a national reputation for its extensive whiskey collection and carefully curated bourbon program, making it a fitting venue for Bradshaw’s first public pour of TB12.

The release has already generated buzz within the spirits world. Organizers noted that TB12 recently earned praise from Robb Report and landed on VinePair’s list of the “30 Best Bourbons for 2026.”

Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to meet Bradshaw and take photos, though autographs and outside memorabilia will not be permitted. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the main event beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free, though entry will be limited by venue capacity and restricted to guests 21 and older.
