Though we should celebrate our mothers every day, there’s one holiday when we truly go all out to honor the women who raised us. In years past, taking Mom out for brunch or dinner was a way to give her a break from the kitchen and household duties. Today, many moms are balancing thriving careers or enjoying active retirements—but the sentiment remains the same: everyone loves to be feted for the day.

We’ve rounded up some standout spots to treat the women in your life—whether it’s your mother, mother-in-law, stepmom, wife, or sister—to a memorable meal.

For restaurants, it’s also one of the busiest days of the year. A little patience and kindness go a long way as staff work hard to help us celebrate the women who put up with our antics and love us all the same.
