Enhance the flavor with picks from a dizzying banchan spread. There are additional options for the BBQ-averse, like a lunchtime bibimbap menu. 3360 Satellite Blvd., Ste. 8, Duluth, koreanbbq9292.com

Featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, the famed buffet at this Marietta Caribbean restaurant offers just 12 items at lunch and dinner. Those 12 dishes, however, are more than enough to satisfy—and they showcase the flavors of Trinidad and Tobago beautifully. Standouts include hearty jerk chicken, vegan callaloo—the national dish of the islands—and Trinidadian-style paratha roti, better known as “buss up shut.” 224 Powers Ferry Rd., Marietta, tassarotishop.com

The basic $45 tier of Chubby Cattle’s signature 90-minute AYCE experience includes American wagyu, organic chicken, and kurobuta pork; move up to $55 for Australian wagyu and your choice of a specialty dish like sweet shrimp sashimi. The final two tiers, at $88 and $98, feature Japanese A5 wagyu from the Toriyama farm, renowned for rich marbling and umami flavor. When dipping these thinly-sliced meats into Chubby Cattle’s delicate house-made broth, you’ll understand the swishing sound for which the shabu shabu method is named. 2180 Pleasant Hill Rd., Ste. B20, Duluth, chubbycattle.com

Rio Steakhouse and Bakery

A fixture of Marietta’s thriving Brazilian community, Rio offers a churrasco experience that rivals the big-name chain steakhouses. Start at the traditional buffet, then head to the churrasco station to watch employees slice choice cuts of meat before finishing with Brazilian desserts from the in-house bakery. 1275 Powers Ferry Rd., Ste. 230, Marietta
