After years of growth across Texas and a recent debut in Arizona, Western Addition Restaurant Group is returning to familiar ground with a concept that looks poised to become a Knox Street destination. The hospitality company behind il Bracco, one of Dallas’ most consistently sought-after dining reservations, unveiled plans for the Main House, a new all-day restaurant slated to open at 3333 Knox Street in 2027.

Set at the corner of Knox Street and the Katy Trail in the former Mashburn space, Western Addition envisions the Main House as a neighborhood gathering place inspired by the relaxed elegance of classic American retreats—the kinds of beach houses, lake cottages, and ranch homes where meals linger and conversations stretch late into the evening.

The location itself appears central to that vision. With a patio opening directly onto the Katy Trail, the restaurant will occupy one of the city’s most visible and highly trafficked corners, positioning it to serve everyone from morning walkers and cyclists to evening diners seeking a front-row seat to one of Dallas’ most vibrant corridors.

“The Main House is about creating a place people can return to again and again, a true gathering place,” said Robert Quick, founder, CEO and chief culinary officer of Western Addition. “More than ever, restaurants are spaces where people come together. At its best, hospitality invites us to slow down, share a table and engage in meaningful conversation and connection. There is a natural conviviality in these beloved family homes, a sense of belonging, and that is what the Main House is built around.”

Founded in 2018, Western Addition has grown from a pair of Dallas restaurants—il Bracco and Bobbie’s Airway Grill—into a multi-city hospitality group with concepts in Houston, including a second il Bracco outpost and Balboa Surf Club. The company’s growth reached a new milestone last month with the opening of il Bracco in Scottsdale, Arizona, marking its first venture beyond Texas.

Yet rather than immediately chasing additional markets, Western Addition’s next move is rooted firmly in Dallas.

The Main House will introduce several firsts for the company, most notably breakfast service. The restaurant will operate throughout the day, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside familiar signatures such as entrée salads, sandwiches made with house-baked bread, and proteins butchered in-house. A larger emphasis on shareable dishes and cocktail-hour fare reflects the communal spirit the concept hopes to cultivate.

Design will play an equally important role. Dallas-based MMaison Interiors is leading the project, with plans to blend indoor and outdoor spaces through expansive windows, natural materials and a residential aesthetic meant to evoke a thoughtfully curated home rather than a traditional restaurant.

The announcement underscores the continued evolution of Knox Street, which has emerged as one of Dallas’ premier mixed-use destinations. Anchored by luxury retailers, destination dining and direct access to the Katy Trail, the district has become one of the city’s most competitive restaurant corridors. The addition of the Main House further strengthens Knox Street’s appeal as a place where dining, recreation and neighborhood life intersect.

While il Bracco helped establish the company’s reputation, the Main House appears aimed at creating something broader—a restaurant built around daily rituals, neighborhood familiarity and the increasingly sought-after experience of slowing down. Details on the menu and precise opening date are forthcoming.
