May 6: Weenie Wednesday at Fox and the Hen

Bring your pup to this Highland hot spot from 3 to 6 p.m. and hang out with chef Carrie Baird and own weiner dogs. Plus, you and your friends, furry or not, can enjoy hot dog and drink specials.  

May 6: Barolo Grill Daniele Conterno Wine Dinner

Join Barolo Grill for another excellent winemaker dinner with fourth-generation master winemaker, Daniele Conterno at 6 p.m. The excerpt comes to us from Piedmont, Italy, an area known for crafting elegant, age-worthy Barolo and Barbera wines. Start the night with a sparkling Nebbiolo and beautiful Langhe Nascetta, as well as a wonderful spread by chef Darrel Truett.

May 8: Bedtime Stories at Meow Wolf

Drink and be merry at this variety show hosted by burlesque extraordinaire, Ariella May DeWitt. Think petals, pasties, bees, bunnies, all staged inside one of the most unique venues in the country. General admission starts at $34.75, with VIP front-row options available. Grab a bite to eat before or after, and enjoy cocktails, wine, and beer during the show.

May 10: Second Sunday Supper at Bar Dough

Celebrate Mother’s Day or just come to eat because it’s Sunday and you’re hungry. The family-style Italian meal will start at 5 p.m. and include wine specials, live music, and a friendly community vibe. Reservations recommended.

May 15 to 17: Northglenn’s Food Truck Carnival

Head to E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park (11701 Community Center Dr., Northglenn) for a festival of 20-plus food trucks spanning local staples and global street food. Check out something new, pick a favorite, or curate your own progressive dining experience from the list of trucks here. The fun runs from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

May 16: Nostalgia Night at Denver Milk Market

Get down with the 1990s during this fete in LoDo. Nostalgia Night runs from 4 to 9 p.m., and features $5 homemade pizza rolls from Fuso Pizza & Pasta, Adult Capri Sun cocktails, and other nods to the era. The event is free and open to all, ‘90s fashion statements encouraged.

May 16: Stranahan’s 2026 Cask Thief

The 11th annual event offers whiskey fans the chance to taste spirits directly from the six of distillery’s barrels.There are two sessions, noon to 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 10 p.m. Guests will also have the opportunity to buy bottles from said barrels, two per person. Grab a bite from one of the food trucks as well, to round out the experience. Find tickets here.

May 18: French Dip Showdown at Pony Up

Ready for another chef battle? Starting at 4 p.m. you can judge the best dip on the menu. This time it’s between chefs Anders Wennberg of Sonny’s Mediterranean and Kevin Chu of Ace Eat Serve. For $20 you’ll get half of each, and a token to pick your favorite.

May 18 and 19: Yappy Hour at McGregor Square

Bring your pups and enjoy a festive stop before heading to Coors Field for the annual Colorado Rockies Bark at the Park. Starting at 3:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and running until 7 p.m., the Plaza at McGregor Square will turn into a gathering of dogs, pet vendors, live music, and food and drink specials. A portion of all sales from each day will be donated directly to Denver’s Ho-Bo Care Boxer Rescue.

May 21: Adult Spelling Bee at Adrift: Wedding Woes

Tap into your childhood spelling skills and join the fun from 7 to 9 p.m. The theme revolves around weddings, so expect words such as “boutonniere” and “trousseau.” Play to win. It’s first come, first served, with a two-item minimum to compete.

May 22 to 26: Boulder Creek Festival

Get ready for the 37th Annual Boulder Creek Festival, taking place in downtown Boulder on Memorial Day Weekend. The free, four-day festival includes over 30 bands, kid-friendly, a skate show, a market-style shopping experience with over 200 artisans and local businesses, and dozens of food trucks. 

May 28: Drink Red Wear Red

Join an all-inclusive food and drinks party with purpose. At the Colorado Restaurant Foundation’s annual fundraiser, Drink Red Wear Red, sample tastes from 30 local restaurants while sipping wines, spirits, N/A beverages, and the signature Drink Red Wear Red cocktail from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dress in red and enter the Best Dressed contest for a chance to win VIP tickets to the Denver Food + Wine Festival.
