August 14 and 15: Go Crazy For Savannah Bananas
Join the fun and celebrate all things bananas at The OG and Call Me Pearl in The Rally Hotel when the Savannah Bananas’ return to Denver this month. In honor of the popular team, The OG restaurant debuts a Banana Bash menu featuring Banana French Toast and the Banana Taffy Tini. Over at the cocktail lounge Call Me Pearl, check out the Call Your Nana menu, complete with the Banana Bread Pudding and a Banana Old Fashioned.
Then at Union Station, Ultreia celebrates the team with I Get My Bananas Down In Georgia, a $15 cocktail with sotol, crème de banane, peach, strawberry, and tarragon. The Denver Milk Market also has events going on all weekend. To say the Ballpark neighborhood goes bananas is an understatement.
August 16: Molino Chido’s Open Fire Cookout Series
A throwback to Chef Michael Diaz de Leon’s “Pinchi Umami” pop-ups, Molino Chido is hosting its second Open Fire Cookout of the season on Sunday. Diaz de Leon will be manning the grill from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m., with wood-fired bites and special cocktails served on the restaurant’s patio. August 19: Prime Rib Night at Steuben’s
Every Wednesday starting at 5 p.m., the Uptown comfort food spot dishes up prime rib. Get it portions of eight- or twelve-ounces. Each serving comes with a baked potato, broccoli and carrots, Yorkshire pudding, au jus, and a creamy horseradish sauce. Quantities are limited each night, so call to make a reservation in advance. Bonus, all Woody Creek gin or vodka martinis are only $10 all night long.
August 19 to 21, and 27: Roth’s Chef’s Table
This month at Roth’s Sea & Steak, the special dinner series goes vegan.Executive chef Ricky Biswas will host the multi-course tasting giving vegetables, grains, mushrooms, fruits, and spices the starring roles. There are only six seats per dinner. Pricing begins at $150 per guest, reserve here.
August 20: Seasonal Supper Club in Longmont
Boulder County Farmers Markets presents its annual Seasonal Supper Club from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Altona Grange (9386 N. 39th St.) in Longmont. Tickets are $10 each, and it’s asked that you bring one dish (six to eight servings) to share, as well as your own plates and utensils. This dinner’s featured ingredient is tomatoes.
August 20: Chicken Fight!
Have you been to the everything fried chicken festival in Denver? If yes, you know it includes unlimited fried chicken, wings, drinks, and now, burgers. All this takes place at Elitch Gardens in Downtown Denver, which adds a whole new layer of fun. You won’t want to miss this, get tickets now.
August 20: Adult Spelling Bee
Head to Adrift from 7 to 9 p.m. for a lighthearted and cheeky spelling bee. Come thirsty and bring your big brain for cocktails, tasty food, and a shot at winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. First come, first served. A two-item minimum needed to compete (cocktails, snacks, or both).
August 20: Annual Vegan Harvest Dinner at St Julien
Head to this Boulder hotel for the annual Vegan Harvest Dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Here, chef Rich Byers has thoughtfully crafted a three-course menu celebrating the season’s finest vegetables and produce sourced from the onsite garden and neighboring Boulder Farmer’s Market. The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail and passed appetizers, followed by dinner with expertly curated wine pairings accompanying each course. Tickets are $90 per person or $120 with wine pairings and can be purchased here.
August 20 to 22: Breckenridge Wine Classic
This high-altitude wine festival returns for its 11th summer this August in Breckenridge. Expect immersive food-and-beverage experiences including a sommelier-led hike through the Rocky Mountains, prix-fixe wine lunches mountainside, and over 250 wines at the Grand Tasting. August 21 to 23: 10 Year Stanley Marketplace Celebration
The Stanley10 Celebration is now, complete with the Taste of Stanle on Saturday. A $50 ticket gets you bites from all over the Aurora market hall, which includes more than 20 businesses. Sunday morning there will be Cars & Coffee, Silent Disco Yoga and Bonez & Brekkie–a pack walk for dogs with breakfast sandwiches and coffee available for humans. August 22: Mizuna’s 25th Birthday Bash
Frank and Jacqueline Bonanno invite Denver to celebrate Mizuna’s 25th anniversary with a grand progressive dinner. Guests will experience three courses each at neighboring spots Luca and Mizuna, both showcasing tried and true dishes. There will be a live band and of course, a birthday cake. The celebratory evening can be reserved for $250 per person, there are only 100 spots available.
August 22: Pure Barre x Paperboy Pop-Up
From 12:45 to 3 p.m. head to Highland to take a 50-minute barre class at Pure Barre Highland, followed by a family-style brunch at neighborhood hot spot, Paperboy. Tickets run $44.52, and can be purchased here.
August 22: Leven Supply’s Soter Wine Event
Soter Vineyards is back at Leven Supply in Washington Park to host a relaxed tasting event from 5 to 7 p.m. No ticket is needed, you can simply swing by to taste through the selection of incredible Oregon wines that can’t be found anywhere else in Colorado.
August 23: Cooking for Culture
Founded by Patricia Kaowthumrong and Chea Franz in 2025, head to this bake sale for its second year on Sunday, August 23 at 10 a.m. at Joyride Brewing Company (2501 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater). The Cooking for Culture community bake sale features a variety of baked goods from local makers, bakeries, and restaurants.
All of the proceeds benefit Kaizen Food Rescue (a nonprofit reiterating that food is a human right) and the Rocky Mountain Immigration Advocacy Network, which provides free immigration legal and social services to children and detained adults in need.
August 24: Sandwich Fight
Pony Up French Dip Showdown returns on Monday, August 24 with a battle of the pigs. Well, Ginger Pig and Pig & Tiger to be exact. Starting at 4 p.m. come in and get the Judges plate to try both dip iterations, and vote for your favorite. Of course, anyone getting to try a sandwich made by these two Denver restaurants have already won.
August 25 to 30: Mai Tai Week
Home to one of Colorado’s largest rum collections, Adrift proudly presents Mai Tai Week, a multi-day celebration of the legendary cocktail invented by Victor “Trader Vic” Bergeron in 1944. Join other tiki enthusiasts in sipping your way through various Mai Tai renditions inspired by the drink’s past, present, and future.
August 26: Palisade Peach Dinner at Osteria Marco

August 26, 27, and 29: Denver Food and Wine Festival
It’s that time of year again, when the Mile High showcases some of its best restaurants with a three-day food bonanza. The Denver Food and Wine Festival features a grand tasting on Saturday, August 29 from 12 to 4 p.m.
But before that, join the annual Riedel Wine Glass Seminar (Aug. 26) with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits sommelier Shelley Sale, who will showcase the relationship between the shape of the wine glasses and the liquid within. August 29: Forget Me Not Oyster Social
Head to Cherry Creek’s Forget Me Not for a patio summer soiree inspired by seaside afternoons and long lunches. The event starts at 1 p.m. and comes complete with oyster on ice, live jazz, and a curated menu of bubbles, mimosas, and refreshing spritzes. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. September 1 and 2: Summer Rooftop Party at Den Corner
For 10 years, Toshi and Yasu Kizaki (of Sushi Den and Ototo) have turned a rooftop on South Pearl Street into a Japanese street fair with great food and the mission to give back to the community. Guests can expect amazing ramen, hand rolls, grilled fish, and more, all paired with award-winning sakes, international wines, and Colorado craft beer.
Since its iteration, the event has raised more than $360,000 for humanitarian causes. This year, the event will benefit We Don’t Waste and organizations supporting the Western Slope Wildfires. Get tickets ASAP, it will sell out.
September 5: Inaugural Pizza Festival
Welcome Pizza With Purpose, a nonprofit founded by three of Longmont’s top pizzerias. Now, the group has launched the Colorado Pizza Festival, taking place in Longmont on Saturday, September 5 from 1 to 10 p.m. During said fete, more than 20 of Colorado’s pizza slingers will compete for the title of State’s Best Pie.
Tickets start at $15, and proceeds benefit hunger-relief organizations across the state. The Golden Ticket, for $50, gets you all the pizza you can eat. Kids 12 and under can attend for free.
