For five years Lucy’s Burger Bar has served the Berkeley neighborhood on Tennyson Street, and we’re so glad she’s going strong. Known for the famous Minnesota dish the Juicy Lucy, a burger stuffed with cheese, the adorable cafe also dishes out fresh oysters, great fries, and more. Happy birthday!

A Dazzling Brunch

Starting in September Dazzle, the live-music lounge at the Denver Center of Performing Arts, will jazz up the brunch menu. Yes, it will still be all-you-can-eat, but now you can expect a made-to-order omelet and crêpe station and more drink choices. All complimented with a show.

Coperta has landed in Empower Field, and sports fans can score big with a bowl of rigatoni and meatballs and baked beef ragu. It’s the first time the decade-old Italian restaurant has entered the stadium, and a welcome addition.

Fundraiser Alert

After chef Ashley Avila tragically died, leaving her two teen daughters, cocktail bar Williams & Graham is raising money to support the family. Avila worked for the venue previously, and had been part of the bar’s family ever since. You can find out more and donate here

On the Menu

Spicy Pasta Alert

Madeline shared news of a Gochujang Pomodoro on the menu. For the dish, chef and owner Quincy Cherrett puts a playful spin on classic bucatini pomodoro with a gochujang-forward sauce that brings a little heat, depth, and Asian-inspired flavor to the Italian staple.

Don’t Miss This Week

Need some dining out recommendations? Try these three hot spots, and make sure to check out the week’s events

Tuesday: Did you hear the news? Soda Club opens today at The Ramble Hotel in RiNo. After a sneak peek of the menu I’m ready to go back. The carrot pinsa goes great with a glass of wine, and the heirloom salad really highlights the glory of the season.

Wednesday: It’s been a while since I visited The Bindery in LoHi. Chef and owner Linda Hampsten Fox told us there are some new menu items, which we can’t wait to try.

Friday: TGIF, and to celebrate, I’m grabbing the Apéro Pile (think a walking taco but Spanish sea salt chips layered with cornichons, Castelvetrano olives, guindilla peppers, cured meat, and Parmesan) and a drink at Semiprecious, one of the best cocktail bars in Denver.
