From Tuesday February 17 through Friday February 20, all guests of Snooze can get a free pancake in any flavor with any entree purchase. The offer is good for dine-in and carryout, and all you have to do to redeem the offer is mention “Pancake Day” to your server.

Over in RiNo, Mecha Noodle Bar is ringing in the Year of the Fire Horse with a nod to Vietnamese Lunar New Year traditions. That includes li xi, the lucky red envelopes given out to symbolize health, happiness, and prosperity for the year ahead. To celebrate, on Tuesday February 17, the first 100 guests at the RiNo location will be given the envelope, which contains an $11 gift card.
Congrats to the Speed Rack season 14 West Regional winner, Sid Lewis. Denver local, Lewis is the founder of Family Values, a series of neurodivergent and sober-inclusive industry parties meant to reimagine how the service industry comes together.
The Dark Horse in Boulder will officially go dark on Saturday, March 14. The closing date marks the historic bar’s 51st anniversary. The space housing the venue will be torn down in order to make way for the approved Williams Village II. When news came of the redevelopment the owners of the Dark Horse planned to relocate, but now it’s ending the chapter for good.

Tostada Tuesdays and Wine Wednesdays at Molino Chido

Chefs Tommy Lee and Michael Diaz de Leon have just launched a couple tasty specials at Molino Chido in the Stanley Marketplace. Now the casual taco shop hosts Tostada Tuesdays with a specialty, off-menu tostada and $10 rotating margarita. There’s also Wine Wednesdays, where guests can enjoy 25% off all bottles of wine and happy-hour-priced pours by the glass all night. Reservations are recommended and available here.
Chocolate Ice Cream Galore
Sweet Action, an independent ice cream company with four Denver locations, released Box of Chocolates, a new chocolate-based flavor packed with caramel, marshmallows, and a swirl of house made cherry jam. Find the specialty ice cream at all the shops until the end of February.
Side Pony Levels Up
The causal coffee-by-day and cocktail-by-night spot on East Colfax now offers caviar. That’s right, Side Pony, sister spot to Pony Up, is feeling fancy, and guests can order the luxury good with a perfect martini or glass of bubbles.
New Winter Menu at Snooze

Though it hasn’t felt like a true winter, Snooze is celebrating the season with new menu items. On the drink side, try the French Toast Latte, which comes complete with a cinnamon toast stick garnish. There’s also a Grilled Three-Cheese with Fire-Roasted Tomato Soup, and the Winter Whipped Cottage Cheese Bowl with oven-roasted carrots, crispy chickpeas, prosciutto, toasted rustic bread, everything spice, lemon juice, and olive oil. Finally, for the pancake fans, Snooze’s signature and well-loved sweet potato pancakes return to the menu, topped with housemade caramel, candied pecans, and ginger butter.
