Goode Company is celebrating Gulf Coast seafood with the launch of its new Oyster Club, kicking off with three events at Goode Co. Seafood and Goode Co. Fish Camp this October. The $35 events begin with Embers & Oysters at Fish Camp on Friday, October 9, featuring live-fire grilled oysters and shrimp, followed by Bubbles and Brine with a raw seafood bar at Goode Co. Seafood Memorial on Friday, October 16, and a Texas-style fish fry with catfish beignets, fried shrimp, oysters, and hush puppies at the Westpark location on Thursday, October 29. The Oyster Club, which launches as Goode Co. Seafood celebrates its 40th anniversary, will expand with additional events and experiences in 2027.
Chef Hugo Ortega and the team at Caracol are spotlighting the flavors of Michoacán with the latest installment of the restaurant’s regional Mexican tasting menu series, available at dinner Monday through Saturday through Saturday, October 31. The four-course, $75 menu travels from sopa Tarasca and crispy charales to slow-roasted pork shank carnitas and pan de muerto, with an optional $36 beverage pairing featuring cocktails inspired by the region.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is celebrating National Pizza Month with its Weekday Triple Play, a three-course meal for two for $29.99. Available for dine-in Monday through Thursday from October 5-29, the deal includes a small House or Caesar salad, a 16-inch traditional cheese pizza, and a dessert of choice, excluding the Dessert Trio. The promotion is available at participating Grimaldi’s locations nationwide, excluding Palazzo.
Escalante’s is marking National Taco Day on Tuesday, October 6 with $3 street tacos and $6 house margaritas at its Houston-area locations. The dine-in-only deal includes margaritas frozen or on the rocks and makes for an especially fitting Taco Tuesday celebration from the longtime local restaurant, which has been serving Houston for more than 30 years.
Actor and producer Morris Chestnut is trading the screen for the bar at Winsome Prime on Friday, October 9, for a special Celebrity Bartender Meet Up presented with Sable Whiskey. From 6 to 9 p.m., guests can sip cocktails, dine, and mingle with The Best Man and Boyz n the Hood star as he steps behind the bar at the Westheimer restaurant.
Trattoria Sofia will spotlight one of Italy’s historic wineries with a four-course Bertani Wine Dinner on Thursday, October 15, at 7 p.m. Held on the restaurant’s dreamy, climate-controlled terrace, the $125 dinner features pairings with scallops almondine, risotto ai frutti di mare, short rib pappardelle, and butterscotch budino, which will be served with the 2015 Bertani Amarone della Valpolicella Classico—a 100-point James Suckling wine that was named his No. 1 Wine of the Year in 2024. Reservations are available via OpenTable.
Willie’s Grill & Icehouse is supporting Houston breast health nonprofit The Rose throughout October with two special pink drinks. The restaurant will donate $1 from every $10.99 Pink Lady cocktail and 50 cents from every $4.99 Sparkling Pink Lemonade sold, then ramp up its fundraising on Friday, October 16, when all Willie’s locations will donate 15% of sales from guests who mention The Rose or use the code SPIRITNIGHT when ordering through the Willie’s Rewards app.
Mastro’s is drinking pink for a cause this October with two limited-time beverages benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The $22 Strength & Resilience cocktail and $18 Fierce & Fiery mocktail are available throughout the month, with $1 from every drink sold donated to the organization.
MaKiin will welcome chef Chumpol Jangprai of Bangkok’s two-Michelin-starred R-HAAN for a one-night-only dinner on Monday, October 19. Jangprai, a regular on Iron Chef Thailand, will join MaKiin chef and owner Lukkaew Srasrisuwan to create an exclusive menu showcasing their distinct approaches to Thai fine dining.
Zanti Cucina Italiana is celebrating bartender Aaron Foster’s win at the 2026 Houston Summer Craft Clash by featuring his award-winning Apprendista cocktail throughout October. The drink, which earned Foster the competition’s Overall Winner title, combines Waterloo Gin Prickly Pear & Rose, dry Marsala, spiced grape cordial, and verjus for a layered sip inspired by the idea that even accomplished professionals remain students of their craft.
Etoile Cuisine et Bar is marking its 14th anniversary in Uptown Park with a special four-course game dinner on Tuesday, October 20. Master Chef of France Philippe Verpiand will showcase venison, duck, wild boar, and guinea fowl across the $85 menu, which begins at 6:30 p.m. and finishes with a butternut squash and orange blossom cake with Grand Marnier ice cream. Reservations are required.
Flora will host Tequila Corralejo’s Sip & Fiesta on Thursday, October 22, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., continuing an annual celebration of Mexican food, music, and tequila. The evening will feature a Corralejo margarita and cocktail bar, bites, a custom hat bar, and piñatas for guests to take home—with select piñatas hiding prizes including restaurant gift cards.
The Woodlands Resort and The Woodlands PRIDE are teaming up for a one-night-only Dinner, Drag and Dancing celebration on Thursday, October 29. The $65 event transforms Harrison’s into a 1990s-inspired ballroom with dinner, cocktails, performances by local drag artists Nadine Hughes, Sasha Frost, Chevelle Brooks, and Violet Brooks, followed by dancing with DJ Furo. The 21-and-up event runs from 6 to 11:30 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Out for Education.
