Mother Nature may have cut things a little short, but it was a blast while it lasted.

Top Taco Denver is in the bag, and a lot of things changed this year.

For starters, we hosted over 60 vendors in Downtown Westminster in a lush park, which offered plenty of room for all. The VIP section teemed with high-end spirits and tacos, all set in a gorgeous, cabana-like space. There was an adorable donkey taking pictures with festival goers, and an amazing vacation package giveaway to Tulum, Mexico.

Other aspects were anticipated, such as the luche libre wrestling, epic spirit tastings, and live music. We tried tacos from Los Chingones, La Machaca de mi Amá, Taquero Muxo, Nola Jane, and so many more. Los Dos Potrillos brought a side party complete with a mariachi band. It was a great night.

But then the strom came in. We have dealt with rain and wind at Top Taco before, but not dangerously-close lighting. Due to the severe weather Top Taco ended about 40 minutes early, before the announcement about winners.

Worry not, we will release the People’s and Judge’s Choice winners next week on Wednesday as our team visits establishments to share the awards. Stay tuned for the winner announcement, as well as some extra goodies to keep the taco party going.
