One of Houston’s most popular themed brunches is making a return this summer.

Zanti Cucina Italiana has announced the return of its fan-favorite Mamma Mia! Brunch, bringing an afternoon of ABBA anthems, disco glamour, and Mediterranean-inspired festivities back to the River Oaks Shopping Center on Saturday, August 22.

Running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event transforms the River Oaks restaurant into a Greek island-inspired escape complete with shimmering décor, live music, themed cocktails, and a special brunch menu created by executive chef Hilario Zamora.

Inspired by the beloved musical Mamma Mia!, the brunch will feature a DJ spinning iconic ’70s hits—including plenty of ABBA classics—as guests dine on seasonal Italian-inspired brunch dishes and sip cocktails created exclusively for the event. Mimosa packages and tableside cocktail service will also be available.

Like last year, guests are encouraged to lean into the theme by dressing in breezy florals, beach-inspired pastels, sequins, and flower crowns for an afternoon designed to channel the carefree spirit of the Greek islands.

In the past year, Zanti has built a loyal following for its creative seasonal events, including Halloween- and ’80’s-themed brunches, and the Mamma Mia! Brunch has become one of the restaurant’s most anticipated annual celebrations.

Reservations are now available through OpenTable. As for whether you should resist belting out a few ABBA classics over mimosas? Mamma mia, here we go again.
